 to 590 & 740. Weak.
 580 CJFX, Antigonish NS (p), Sep 13, 0405, News about hurricane
 ''Linda''. ''This is Broadcast news''. Poor.
 590 VOCM, St. John's NF, Sep 12, 0445, ''The best of VOCM Open 
 Line every Sunday at 1.30''. Poor.
 700 CHSJ, St. John NB, Sep 14, 0415, C&W, back to back. Short peak
 before fading. Noisy. Presumed.
 740 CHCM, Marystown NF, Sep 13, 0420, Rockmusic, VOCM IDs. 
 Parallel to 560 & 590. Poor. Also on Sep 14.
 850 CKVL, Verdun PQ, (t), Sep 12, 0520, Phone-in, promo in French
 mentioning Canada. Poor.
 
 920 CJCH, Halifax NS, Sep 12, 0510, Noisy: talkshow or phone-in with
 some tentative IDs during promo. Weak.
 930 CFBC, St. John NB, Sep 13, 0348-0400, In the midst of ''Hey Jude'' 
 another station comes through and on top with ''Oldies 93, CFBC''.
 Also with ID on Sep 14 at 0125. First verified reception of station with
 CJYQ usually dominant on this channel. Poor to fair.
 940 CBM, Montreal PQ, Sep 14, 0252-0302, CBC ID at 0255, talk in
 English and quickly fading away in the noise. Nothing at 0300. Very
 weak.
 960 CHNS, Halifax NS, Sep 14, 0510, Stevie Wonder ''For once in my
 life'' followed by ''Good Time Oldies'' slogan. Steady peak for 10
 minutes. Poor.
 980 CBV, Quebec PQ, Sep 12, 0455, Talk in French about F.M.B. (?).
 ID: ''Canada Radio''; "Ici Radio Canada'' was expected. Fair, able to
 use 4.5 & 7.0 filter. Noted in passing on Sep 14 with man reading
 (presumed) lottery-numbers in French. Presumed.
1140 CBI, Sydney NS, Sep 13, 0450-0500, Man talking with British accent.
 BBCWS relay?? CBC ID at five. Noisy and weak.

 right title? I know the song, but not the singer. A certain ''George
.....''is in-
 troduced as a ''man of thousand voices''. Good peak.

 qrm with a ''powerful'' signal, but alas, competition is too strong. Talkshow.
 Under Spain on 774.

 peak and OM grumbling about ''former coaches who are now peddling their
 wares on television shows''. NFL talk with Chuck Wilson about Buffalo at
 Kansas City etc.

 talking about Mother Theresa in Italian and English. Poor, most stations 
 having faded away at this hour of the morning.
1010 WINS, New York NY, Sep 13, 0130, First mixing with presumed CFRB,
 Toronto, then dominant: ''I'm looking forward to seeing you in Central Park
this
 Sunday morning.....''. ''WINS Newstime 9.30''. Fair.
1030 WBZ, Boston MA, Sep 14, 0315, Waiting in the wings for three days: 
 constantly there with a talkshow during 3 days, but always fading at topeth.
 Tentative. Weak to poor.

1510 WNRB, Boston MA, Sep 13, 0320, usual Spanish language 
 programme. Presumed. Poor signal.

 Greco in the noise. Noted part of ID as '' ..QEW''. Very weak.
