CAUTION !!

The DPRS reports, that lots of Dutch MW pirates will give up their
Postboxes in favor of DPRS. The cause is quite simple - the costs for
the post boxes arise. For instance the Box 20 in Zwartemeer will
close. More details when known.

Following this message from DPRS, some basic research done about the
above that news on the internet : The page of the Dutch PTT reveals
the following : The costs for (most) Post-Boxes arise to 250 Gulden a
year with the beginning of October 1998!

This is original text from the PTT page (should be easy understandable
for all of us Germans, but I'm not sure for the scandinavians!):

6 oktober 1997 - Tarief voor postbussen
Klanten van PTT Post met een postbus gaan voor deze service een
jaarlijks tarief betalen van 250 gulden. Het tarief gaat 1 oktober
1998 in. Klanten gaan het tarief betalen vanaf het moment dat zij
beschikken over een vernieuwde, grotere postbus. Daartoe gaat PTT Post
de komende drie jaar alle 300.000 postbussen vervangen. Nu betaalt de
klant een eenmalige waarborgsom van 150 gulden voor het gebruik van
een postbus. De invoering van een tarief voor postbussen past in het
beleid van PTT Post dat erop gericht is de tarieven meer in
overeenstemming te brengen met de kosten voor de dienstverlening.

6th october 1997 - Fee for Post-Boxes
Customers of the PPT Post with a post box will have to pay a yearly
fee of 250 Gulden for this service. This beginns on October 1st 1998.
The customers have to pay this fee from that moment on they can use a
newer and larger postbox. So the PTT post is going to exchange all the
300000 postboxes in the coming 3 years. At the moment a customer has
to pay 'only' a unique guarantee-fee of 150 Gulden for the usage of a
post box. The introduction of a fee for post-boxes fits into the
desire of PTT Post to get fees in a better accordance with the costs
of their services.

(250 Gulden = 225 DEM or 120 USD or 75 UKP or 665 FIM or 950 SEK)
