[HCDX]: Zimbabwe Situation

 Hello HCDX group: This item hardly HCDX but news worthy and somewhat radio 
related. I received a E Mail tody from white Zimbabwean friends living in 
Harare, she states in part.


 " Joey the situation here has quickly declined since we last talked, on 
Friday Marc and the two boys left with other men to prepare for the worse 
the boys are just to young for this Joey! Mugabe is now making plans to take 
farmland from the white farmers without compensation. We now fear a return 
to the bush war of old Rhodesia, remember stories Marc told you. A tiff has 
developed in the army Britain has asked  British training officers in our 
army to be ready. The British Government has asked us to prepare for a haste 
exit under armed convoy to Mozambique or South Africa, just like the convoy 
you chaps took to get through Mozambique, Joey it is not good! We are now 
fear for the very worse! The white politicians have told us not to trust the 
radio tv or the papers we must listen to the BBC radio for word of the 
evacuation and other plans. Rumor has it that Britain has sent solders to 
Mozambique"
