Re: [HCDX] NBC critisied on Olympics coverage from and Aussie point of view

Here in Canada, both the CBC and TSN (The Sports Network; Canada's version of ESPN) are broadacsting live Olympic coverage.  Many Americans who live close to the border, in Buffalo, Detroit, Washington state, upstate New York, and northern New England (or wherever the CBC is offered on cable) are watching CBC.

Why don't the BBC come clean: the restrictions on Real Audio streaming weren't imposed by the IOC, but by NBC and the billion dollars that they pumped into the IOC's coffers for the US broadcast rights.

Hi Hard-Core-DX List,

Your may be interested in this article from the Australian Finacial Review on an Aussies view of NBC's Olympic   coverage. Shortwave gets a short mention in para 8.

For those of you still coming to the Olympics some answers to FAQ's.
1. Yes you can get fresh milk every day.
2. Yes Australia does have ATM's
3. No you can not see Kangaroos in Sydney's main street.
