[HCDX] Extreme AU conditions

Hi everyone;

Here along the Northern Oregon Coast, very extreme AU conditions are
present tonight. I mean "STRONG AU". It started out with Southern CA and
Mexican stations dominant and as it has gotten later into the night
Hawaiians are all over the dial. KIPA-620-Hilo is S9+30 DB. I was
listening to arm chair copy of KAHU-1060-Hilo a while ago at 0615 UTC
9/20 with Hawaiian pops and "This has been a public service announcement
from your friends at KAHU Hawaiian Radio", back into pops. So far
nothing new logged.
   Along with the extreme AU conditions the band also has a lot of odd
buzzing and general noise I never hear. The noise level has gone up a
lot. The Eastern Beverage is totally useless in the past hour or so as
there is an S9 ROAR across the whole MW dial using that wire. This is
indeed unusual. I sure hope the noise level goes down as it could be a
great DU morning. Tahiti-738 was S9+ a while ago too.

73s,
