I apologize for the dated loggings, but nonetheless, you might find a few interesting findings.  My wife and I visited Manzanillo, on the Pacific coast of Mexico for a week.  We travelled very light, but I still managed to pack a Sony 2010, a tiny Sony MD for recording, and some 30 feet of wire thrown over the closest palm tree.  Results were interesting for me, since Latin American stations are quite unusual here in Victoria, BC since most LA stations have signed off before sunset in Victoria, and sign on times occur in the middle of the night.  I logged many other Peruvians, especially, put only included the stations which I heard positive IDs.  I encourage you to travel with a small portable (I usually use a Sony 1000T, which is the size of a pocket book, but this time I splurged and took the 2010) and spend some of your quiet time scanning the bands.  I brought  a copy of DSWCI's Domestic Broadcasting Survey, available for $10. via .pdf format.  Well worth it, and smaller than the WRTH or PWBR for travelling.

ANTARCTICA 15476, 20:52-, RN San Gabriel Nov 10 Manzanillo, Mexico logging.  Sony 2010.  Just above threshold with Spanish vocal music.  Talk by YL at 20:54:20, but too weak to hear any ID.  Haven't heard this one at this time in Victoria for years. (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)

ARGENTINA 6060, 02:01-, R.ARGENTINA EXTERIOR Nov 13 Manzanillo, Mexico logging.  Sony 2001.  RAE with multilingual ID, then at 0202:30 'Welcome friends to another English language program from RAE'.  Fair reception (not heard since in Victoria).  Parallel 11710, of course is excellent. (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)

BOLIVIA 4796.5, 00:34-, R.Maico  or is it R. Mallku? Nov 9 Manzanillo, Mexico logging.  Sony 2010.  Spanish programming, with full ID at s/off lasting until 00:39.  'Muchos gracias' and off.  Good reception. (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)

GUATEMALA 3300, 0357-, R.Cultural Nov 8 Manzanillo, Mexico Sony 2010.  Through the Bible Radio program in English.  At TOH, 'This is Radio TGNA.  The time is 10:00 PM', then into another American religious broadcast.  Local ID had low modulation.  Otherwise excellent.  Heard very well here in Mexico.  Better than 5955. (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)

GUATEMALA 4052.5, 0420-, R.Verdad Nov 9 Manzanillo, Mexico logging.  Sony 2010.  Always a powerful signal, with mostly Spanish programming, but full ID in English as Radio Truth.  Address POB 5, Chiquimula, Guatemala, Central America.  QSL and banners available, and offerings accepted.  Back into Spanish.  Still there at 0445, but off by 0516 recheck. (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)

GUATEMALA 4800, 01:26-, R.Buenas Nuevas Nov 9 Manzanillo, Mexico logging.  Sony 2010.  Religious program in indigenous language.  Good to very good signal.  Full ID in Spanish at 0127. (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)

MEXICO 2390, 2349-, XEJN Huayacocotla Nov 8 Manzanillo, Mexico log.  Sony 2010.  Starting to fade-in nicely by this time.  ID at 2352. Spanish vocals until 23:57:30, followed by public service announcements.  Good reception with some deep fades (akin to MW). (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)

MEXICO 9705, 15:25-, R.MEXICO INTERN. Nov 13 Manzanillo, Mexico logging.  Sony 2010.  Superb reception with telephone quality voice, in English announcing '1177 kHz', ID, weather, this day in history, followed by national news.  Parallel 11770 good to very good.  Nothing heard on 49 meters. (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)

PERU 6524, 00:23-, Radio Difusora Nov 13 Manzanillo, Mexico logging.  Sony 2010.  Peruvian music and nice ID at 00:25:20.  Fair reception. (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)

PERU 6797.5, 00:26-, Ondas del Rio Mayo Nov 13 Manzanillo, Mexico logging.  Sony 2010.  Very good reception, well over cochannel ute.  Peruvian music, with probably ID at 0030:30, but speech was very rapid with phone-like audio. (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)

PERU 6817, 00:36-, Voz de las Huaringas Nov 13 Manzanillo, Mexico logging.  Sony 2010.  Fair + reception with Spanish talk.  Initially thought it was a race commentary, but with further listening, sounds more like just the style of the announcer.  ID at 0043. (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)

URUGUAY 6155, 02:13-, R.Sarandi del Yi Nov 13 Tentative logging.  Manzanillo, Mexico logging.  Sony 2010.  Latin dance music, and pretty sure I heard 'Uruguay' at 0220.  Faded to nothing but carrier by 0250. (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)
