Mariana Islands, 9575, VOA, 1130-1200 Noted a period of Mandarin
Conversational Language
comments between a number of persons discussing possibly U.S. Politics.
Heard Obama's name
mentioned a few times. While this was continuing, a background of Chinese
music heard. This
was possibly intended to jam VOA. Consequently, I'd be incline to flag
the music as "Firedrake",
but it didn't seem to have the "out of control" tempo that I associate
with Firedrake music. However,
later it did seem to digress to typical "Firedrake". VOA's signal faded
from a fair to a poor as
the hour ticked away. (Chuck Bolland, September 5, 2008)
China, 11935, China Radio International, 1158-1215, At tune in, noted
steady music until
the hour. At that time a female sines on with Russian Language comments.
She continues
with news and comments during the period. Signal was fair. (Chuck
Bolland, September 5, 2008)
