 issues of DX Listening Digest]

*R. Taiwan International canceling all but one of its English relays
via WYFR as of November 1: 0200 on 5950
*RTI in crisis over KMT government censorship, be nice to China;
 chairman, directors, board members resign
*Changjiang Maritime Security Information Center (presumed), 8794-USB,
between *1347-1425*, music and Yangtze river traffic info
*Shanghai PBS/Voice of Pujiang, at 1320-1351, back to their winter
 frequency 5075
*Station varying 6068-6071 until 1250-1256 interfering with CFRX
identified as V. of Korea, in Japanese
*VOK, 9335, has unfriendly neighbor on 9330, V. of Wilderness at 1300-
 1400 via Tajikistan
*All India Radio testing DRM at 0430-1130 on 6100 to India; 1745-2230
 on 9950 to Europe
*More interference besides Cuban jamming, for WRMI 9955, where Jeff
 White promotes DRM
*RRI Jambi, Indonesia, 4925 confirmed active, at 1500
*V. of Indonesia has three transmitters with slightly different
offsets; lately near 11786 including English at 1300, 1500, but
latter not for full hour, cut off after 2 or 20 minutes
*Papua New Guinea missionary station Wantok Radio Light, heard in
 Japan on 7324.96 around 0800
*R. Australia cancels Australian Express show, replacing with
Australian Bight (sp?), including Tuesdays 1330 on 9580
*R. New Zealand International monitored contrary to own schedule, such
as DRM until 1258 on 6170, then 7145; 9615 AM at 1415 in addition to
 6170
*T8WH Palau replacing more and more KWHR Hawaii transmissions on 9930,
 12130
*VOA`s Ukrainian service slated to close Sept 30, extended at last
minute until yearend, perhaps because of concerns that Ukraine could
 be the next Georgia
*WBCQ starts broadcasting vice- and presidential debates live on 5110-
CUSB at 0100; also heard on VOA 6020, 9820 but only at 0130-0200; and
surprise, REE Spain with immediate translation into Spanish on 6055,
 9535

and UT Sun 0100-0130 on 5875, excellent reception for recording their

with no progress; not clear whether FCC will renew it
*World of Radio 1429, http://www.worldofradio.org

replace World of Radio and Wavescan, Sat 20-21
*Now that Radio Newyork International on WBCQ has moved from 7415 to
5110, what do we hear on 7415 early UT Mondays? Even more Brother
Scare, who is even more convinced the US is about to collapse

Road, UT Tue/Thu/Sat at 0015; it`s about Jack Kerouac`s novel,
 presented in Spanish

sounds like sticks beating on a log; or electronic tune
*ZNBC, Zambia, has installed new SW transmitters and antennas for
 Radios 1 and 2
*VOA or R. Sawa started new service for Darfur, Sudan in Arabic, half
an hour at 03, 18, 19; at first carried R. Free Iraq programming by

 Darfur``
*R. Oromiya, Ethiopia, 6030, heard in Europe and Japan from 0400 and
 until 1900
*Unlike Taiwan, which is keeping one hour in English to NAm, Radio
