[HCDX] ZIZ 555

At 0330-0340:-> ZIZ on 555 is once again up and down, though lately moslty up with fair peaks and quite listenable (at least for an avid DXer like me)... This is not strange at all. But, in the middle of a commercial break (one was for an unexpensive party that costs about 10 bucks) the carrer went off the air for 2 seconds, they got back afterwards with open career and no audio, anotehr 1 second poff-air break, then after 30 seconds, they went back for good.

Now at 0343 UTC, the tx problems are gone, but I'm still wondering if the tx (=transmitter) is working properly.

As I write this, they are back from a fade with some kind of calypso music, but the technical problem they had led me to think they would switch to a new TX on either 550 or 560 which is bad.

Otherwise, some more inspiring stuff, bachata music on 580 followed by woman talk under WTIG at 0237, definitively a relog of Radio Monte Cristi as well as salsa on 550 at 0241 (YVKE almost surely, unless it's Cuba).

Spain-585 almost a no-show, and some domestics such as WSB 750 had weird fades. YVKS was much more stable than WSB, almost like a local.

May the good DX be with you !

Btw.: The new Montreal local on 1690 is quite good... Nice to hear some Black Metal on the old dusted AM Broadcast Band for a change !
