[HCDX] logs of Apr 2nd
ARMENIA 15480 DVB Democratic Voice of Burma program via Yerevan Gavar
Kamo site, Burmese at 1430-1530? April 2nd. Noted at 1435-1440 UT. Typical
"metallic modulation sound" of former USSR gear. S=8-9 level in Germany.
CHINA 15140 Firedrake music jammer, much, much stronger than the day
before. S=9+10dB on April 2nd at 1410 UT.
CUBA 13680 RHC La Habana in Spanish at 1300-1400 UT Apr 2nd, covered by
IBB Radio Svoboda via VT-group Rampisham relay from 13.59:45 UT. Equal
signal level then. \\ RHC SP on 13780 kHz underneath DWL German via VT-group
Woofferton relay. Both RHC S=3-4.
But different Cuban program, likely Radio Nacional de VEN, observed at same
time on 15120[and BSKSA Bangla co-channel] and 15360[S=7] kHz. Speech to the
crowd transmission, on "...capitalism, ... musulmán ..., dinero ...".
Presidente de Angola on visit.
FRANCE/TAIWAN 15225 R Taiwan International via Issoudun France in Russian
language. 500 kW powerful beast, S=9+10dB in the dead skip zone Germany.
1400-1500 UT.
GUAM 15425 KTWR Guam accompanied by heavy BUZZ like 60 Hertz, in Korean
at 1400-1515 UT, S=9+10dB, Apr 2nd.
TURKEY 11955 TRT Cakirlar in Turkish to foreign workers in NE/ME worked
overtime, scheduled 0600-1300 UT, but also on air til 1400 UT today Apr 2.
Broadband coverage and some peak spurs on 11941 to 11972 kHz range of 25 mb.
UNID 17495 Still a puzzle at this end.
In past days as well as Apr 2nd noted Voice of Russia program in Urdu at
14-15 UT and Hindi 15-16 UT on very high frequency of 17495 kHz, observed
here on two different rxs.
Was puzzled a bit of an - expected - intermodulation of Dushanbe[11755],
Chita[9745], Irkutsk[9445], or Novosibirsk[6070] site. But no formula works
so far. [6 + 11.5 MHz, 9.9 + 7.55 MHz neither]. {frequency channels used in
B-09 season}
Dushanbe 17495 kHz is now scheduled from 0700-1000 UT for VoRUS towards
South Asia and AUS/PAC.
So maybe the engineers let the tx on air still in the afternoon
til 1600 UT ? Or just a propagation test into South Asian subcontinent?
