[HCDX] R. Fly, R. La Hora, R. Mosoj Chaski, Voz Missionaria, UBC, UNIDs
5019.97 R. Happy Isles Shania Twain song, M anncr, Island song. Usual
theme melody at ToH, then nx by M w/ID at 1009. Vanuatu 5054.97 was //3945
same time. PNGs 3905, 3385 (OC), 3365, 3325, 3290, 3275, and 5960 //3915
were also in at the same time. (26 June)
PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3915 R Fly 0921-1000+, Mx pgm of Pops, Island Pops,
and Reggae. M anncr host in PD abt every 10 minutes w/song anmnts and what
sounded like messages. 6 minute apparent nxcast at 0930 starting out w/ID
and TC as "R. Fly, half past 7 long Papua New Guinea. 2010.". Surprised to
find this w/readable signal and clear of any Hams!! And oddly better than
5960 which was covered by lcl QRM. (30 June)
UNID. 4665.35 Carrier here at 0000. LA maybe?? (2 July)
UNID. 3380 A decent carrier here at 0003 and possible audio. (2 July)
PERU 4857.46 R La Hora 0005 w/usual nx pgm and M host. Was playing mx
later around 0020. (2 July)
BOLIVIA 3310 R Mosoj Chaski 0048 Usual live W anncr in Quechua w/ment
of Atlantico. Canned tlk by M, then some pleasant lcl folk mx. Canned
intro anmnt, then pgm segment w/live M tlk, and outro at 0101. More mx to
0106, couple canned anmnts, then live W returned w/occas. guitar mx bridges.
Good at t/in but gradually fading. (2 July)
CROATIA 6164.75 Croatian R. (pres.) Just tlk by M at 0549 but too weak
to determine lang. Must be Croatian R. as Wolfgang Bueschel had it on this
exact freq but at another time. (2 July)
CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC?? 7219.97 Central African Republic?? Just a
weak carrier here at 0550. (2 July)
ANGOLA?? 7216.76 R. Nacional Angola?? Another carrier at 0550.
Stronger than 7219.97, but no audio noted. Is here both at this time and in
the early evenings here. (2 July)
BRAZIL 9665.13 Voz Missionaria Found at 0602 but not at 0605. Sign
off?? Didn't check for //'s. Poor to fair signal. (2 July)
BRAZIL 5939.92 Voz Missionaria Found at 2354 w/soft PT rel. mx, //
11749.86. Went over ToH w/out anmnts. This freq strong but QRMed
w/splatter after 2359 when 5935 came on. (2 July)
UGANDA 4975.97 R. Uganda/UBC 0004-0100+ On late again w/Rap and Pop
(or whatever its called these days) mx. W anncr over mx at times including
nice simple "UBC Radio" ID at 0007. More nonstop mx. Live M at 0042, but
the signal had faded and all I could copy was a ment of July 3rd. Took
phone call to 0050 then. Really faded badly, but was still on past 0100.

PIRATE (NA) 6923.3U UNID. 0013 w/"Taking Care of Business" by BTO, then
some kind of canned voice tlk w/several ments of "..radio". Back to mx at
0019. Really tough to copy, not because of strength but because of USB.
Hard Tack R. was reported on the FRN ACE loggings at this time on 6925 also
in USB, but they were playing Bluegrass mx. (3 July)
