Japan, 9625, Radio Japan, 0920-0930, Noted a male and female in English
language
comments. Couldn't determine the subject due to the signal's poor quality.
At
0930, heard an ID as, "... you are listening to ... NHK ..." By 0931 off
the air.
Signal was poor. (Chuck Bolland, January 04, 2010)
Indonesia, 9680, RRI Jakarta, 0931-0945, Noted a very strong carrier here,
but the audio was almost non-existent. However, still heard a male in
Indonesian
language comments for a couple of minutes until music was presented. After
the musical segment, noted a female in Indo comments. (Chuck Bolland,
January 4, 2010)
Monaco (pres), 7210, Trans World Radio(Tent), 0935-1000, Noted a
male in Language(?) religious comments during the period. At 0950
religious tune heard, "What a friend we have in Jesus". At 0958 a female
comments and gives ID which was un-intelligentable. On the hour, the
station goes off the air. The signal was poor. (Chuck Bolland, January 4,
2010)
Tibet, 7255, People's Broadcasting Station,(pres) 1030-1100, Noted a male
and female
in Tibetan(?) language conversation. Every so often, local type music
heard.
Checked for parallels, but none were found. Signal was fair to good.
Signal went off
at 1057. (Chuck Bolland, January 4, 2010)
Thailand, 7255, Radio Thailand World Service, 1100-1115, With Interval
signal briefly on the
hour, this was followed with ID in English: "This is Radio Thailand World
Service broadcasting
the Vietnamese Service." This was followed with the Vietnamese language
comments
by a male. The Signal was fair with some fading. (Chuck Bolland, January
4, 2010)
China, 7290, China Radio International, 1114-1130, Noted a number of
females commenting
in Russian language. Format didn't sound too Chinese with music etc. It
sounded more like
a Broadcast originating in Russia. Anyway, Signal was fair. Noted a
parallel on 5915 which
was poor. Also heard a parallel on 6080 which was fair. Heard another on
7400 althought
it was threshold. (Chuck Bolland, January 4, 2010)
China 7325, China Radio International, 1131-1200, Noted a program of
Japanese language
comments by a female as well as music. Heard a parallel on 7260 KHz at a
fair level
while 7325 was good. (Chuck Bolland, Janaury 4, 2010)
Malaysia, 7295, RTM Kuala Lumpur, (pres), 1150-1205, Noted a male and
female
in English language conversation. Station is very weak and easy to miss.
Don't
expect this to be readable beyond the hour since Russia is on the same freq
with their regular on and off tone before their 1200 Chinese broadcast. At
1155
RTM presents some music. On the hour a female comments but unable to
decipher her comments; think she's from VOR while a male comments in
English. He's possibly at RTM. Everything is threshold by now.
