[HCDX] TUE LISTENING

Egypt, 17810.00 Radio Cairo, 1534-1545, Noted a faint or poor signal

here with a male chanting in the typical mode. At 1937 I can hear

a male in comments. Can't Identify the language, but it sounds Arabic.

More chanting type singing at 1541. Signal was poor.

Libya, (pres) 17725.00 Voice of Africa, 1540-1600, Noted a male and female

in English language comments. They seem to be relating information

about certain cities in Africa. "... We come to the end of this program (F)

and thank you for listening and goodbye (M)" "... From Africa" (M)

Immediately following the program starts broadcasting in French.

All comments were muffled and distorted causing ear discomfort.

(Chuck Bolland, March 29, 2011)

Afterthought: I wonder if the above broadcast is broadcasting from Libya

due to the events that are occurring in Libya?
