[HCDX] 24 Sept. Loggings
INDONESIA 9524.97 V.O. Indonesia 2002 end of song then canned ID and
web info by W in EG. Tough w/co-channel QRM. Both stns abt equal strength.
(18 Sept.)
UNID. 4781.58 UNID LA Per Bob Wilkner tip, hrd signal here at 2310.
Could just barely make out M anncr and mx. Not strong enough at this time
to tell lang. or mx style. 2327-2340 definite live discussion by M and W
sounding like SP. Poss. ad at 2351. 2 men in SP from 2352-2357 w/ments of
"provincial" when audio up a little more. Audio again a little better
during song at 0006. Went off during the song at 0008:57 unfortunately.
Modulation varies and is always too low. Really not enough clues to hazard
a guess. (23-24 Sept.)
BRAZIL 9819.77 R. Nove de Julho Awesome signal at 0102 w/rel. pgm in
the clear. Wish I would have been there over ToH. (24 Sept.)
MADAGASCAR 4910U R. Madagascara Mx brought up at 0236:18. Pleasant
Afro guitar and vcl. M anncr at 0240. Poss. ment of Madagascara. 0241
beautiful choral mx. Another choral song followed by instru. 0254 M again
w/rapid tlk and poss. ID but not 100% certain. Recorded tlk to 0257.
Hi-life mx. 0301 M briefly again. Long tlk by W anncr starting at 0310
w/clear ment of Madagascar. Gradually fading. CODAR ruined nice reception.
(24 Sept.)
BRAZIL 9665.11 R. Marumby 0950 M and W phone caller in discussion in
apparent PT then lively ZY mx. M anncr back at 0953 w/another phone caller
w/ment of Brazil. Another softer song at 0955 but cut it short at 0957
w/another caller and time tone denoting ToH. Had to notch out 9665.44.
This was slightly stronger. Very fady signal, and fairly good when peaking.
(24 Sept.)
NORTH KOREA?? 9665.44 North Korea?? 0950 only bits of audio. 1000 time
ticks w/last being very long and into what sounded like a March song. M and
W anncrs in lang. 1005 MOR mx. Very difficult though due to choppy
distorted disturbed signal. Sounds like N.K. Drifted down 20 hz between
1003-1005. This taking over as pres. Marumby fading by 1005. (24 Sept.)
INDONESIA 9680.05 RRI Jakarta 1012 end of lively IN Pop then M anncr
w/song anmnt and RRI ID (could hear the phone ringing in the background).
RRI jingle before going back into mx at 1015. Really nice signal. (24
Sept.)
JAPAN 9605 NHK //9625 which was just slightly better. In EG
w/mini-features at 1020. (24 Sept.)
SOUTH KOREA 9770 KBS 1029 soft IS and M and W w/pres. IDs between.
Uses the same IS from back in the 70's. 1030 fanfare then pgm intro by W.
Poor and very choppy. (24 Sept.)
BRAZIL 9695.65 R. Rio Mar 1034 apparent nx read by W w/sound bites in
PT. 1036-1041 long ad block. First was a promo w/ment of Amazonia and and
ending w/men shouting ID "Radio Rio Mar" (1037:05). 1040:10 another nice ID
jingle. Promo at 1041 w/ment of "...Journal ?? Amazonia". Then back to W
anncr w/more nx. Another ad block w/clear men shouting ID again at 1049:25
then couple more IDs. Really fady. As usual, blasted out by Japan at 1055.
Checked at other times during the day and not noted. 31mb doing well today.
(24 Sept.)
PAPUA NEW GUINEA These PNGs on the air this morning noted post 1100;
3204.971, 3275, 3264.986, 3385, 5959.991, 7324.959. (24 Sept.)
UNID. 5050 Australia?? Ozy R.?? Just strains of mx at 1127. Too late
and fading. Ozy R. was heard earlier in the year off freq, so maybe its
something else. (24 Sept.)
TAIWAN?? 11714.91 R. Taiwan Int.?? Asian here at 1207 w/pres. nx by W
in lang. Must be RTI as reported by Wolfgang Bueschel recently. (24 Sept.)
