[HCDX] Myanmar, 5985.81
MYANMAR, 5985.81 k Hz, 11:20 - 12:15, presumed the one here with music, what could have been news in Burmese at BOH (which is their TOH), and then a call-in program, apparently a request show, with a female anncr taking calls and then playing pop mx. Fair to poor. Audio still present an hour after my local SR, but pretty ragged by the end. (Delibert, N. Bethesda, MD, 3/17/13)

Kenwood R5000
Pennant antenna with DX Engineering Amp
Oldie but goodie: In 1988, I bought a Kenwood R5000. When it developed
a bad case of key-bounce, I put it on the shelf. And since that time,
I've tried just about every other radio out there. Last week, I took the
R5000 off the shelf, fixed the key-bounce and made a couple of simple
mods. And lo and behold, it remains a fine radio with outstanding
audio, that holds its own against all the others.
