[HCDX] 14-15 Loggings

PAKISTAN   15265   R. Pakistan   1859 instru. NA and off.   Nice strong signal!!   One of the strongest signals ever heard.   Hrd around 1750 earlier but weak w/AR-like mx.   (14 August)

SAUDI ARABIA   11915   BSKSA (Holy Koran Svc)   Koran recitation at 2301, cut off and signal leaving the air at 2302:18 with //11820 going off at 2302:30.  Excellent signal on both.  (14 August)

 

 

BOLIVIA   6024.97   R. Patria Nueva (very pres.)   First noticed the carrier in the display at 2220.  Was totally in the clear as the Chinese wasn't on.  Very slowly improving.  Sounded like bits of mx at times after abt 2330.  Definite deep-voiced M anncr at 2349:50.  Mx at 2357:10.  6020 V.O. Vietnam came on at 2358:20 and blasted it out, then 6030 came on less than a minute later.  Too bad conditions weren't better.  (14 August)

 

 

PERU   5024.91   R. Quillabamba   Another rarely heard one in the clear!! 0016 found Rebelde off and this in very weakly w/definite OA campo mx and M anncr.  0018 canned anmnt by M.  0028 flutes poking through nicely and canned amnt.  0030 pleasant haunting campo mx.  Still playing mx w/nice flutes at 0039:00.  0047-0048 presumed Rebeldes carrier was going on and off.  Quillabamba clear at 0049 again thankfully.  0051 Rebelde back on, then off.  0054 back on to stay.  0100, Rebelde off again.  End of W anncr, canned anmnt, laser shooting SFX, then back to nice Andean flute mx (0104:00 record).  0105:30 long tlk by live studio W anncr.  Ment of Peru.  Hrd M in background several times, and tlk by diff. W at remote QTH at 0120.  0121 Rebelde back going on and off.  Was still there along w/Rebelde at 0206, but gone at 0221 check.  Very noisy. BOLIVIA   3310   R. Mosoj Chaski   Buzzing carrier already on at 0855 but think it was there as early as 0815.  Start of bdcst at 0901:40 rooster crowing at least 3 times, then M anncr w/full ID over instru. Andean mx, instru. NA, M w/anmnt over instru. mx including another ID and website and ending w/ment of radio.  High static noise ruined nice reception.  (15 August)

 

 

UNID.   4709_99   UNID  0914:00 - 0915 and 0915:55 nice XE-like mx.  Audio is a little distorted on the bass.  0917:00 ID promo in SP sounding like "Extra, Extra, ?? mi horas. ?? la emisoras, radio ??. Radio 15-70 AM, informativa, radio deportivas, ?? de la ??", then live M with a few words.  0923 rapid LA dance song, oddly out of format. AUSTRALIA   4835   ABC Alice Springs   1028 live M tlking abt pgms and mentioning "ABC local radio".  Promo leading up to BoH.  1030 usual fanfare and "ABC news" ID and into nx by W.  Surprisingly readable amid WWCR QRM.  (15 August)

 

 

SOLOMON ISLANDS   5019.88   SIBC   1030 end of EG speech w/ment of tourism.  Live studio W anncr w/short outro, then ad for South Pacific Oil Industries, then another ad w/ment of P.O. Box 1160, Honiara addr.  Live W again w/ment of program and "10 o'clock".  Then into C&W song followed by an island song.  Peaked around this time.  (15 August)

 

 

MYANMAR   7200.09   R. Myanmar   1057 Big signal w/slow SE Asian Pop song.  Overmodulated.  Tlk by usual W at 1104 w/instru. bridge like a Yardbirds song twice.  Back to lively C&W-like song w/W singing off key at 1108.  (15 August)

 

 

MYANMAR   6165   Thazin R.   1109 definitely SE Asian Pops mixing w/CNR.  Plainly heard when CNR was in tlk.  1116, 1123 mx while tlk on CNR again. MYANMAR   5985.8   R. Myanmar   1138 tlk by M and W in Burmese then into mx briefly at 1141:30, and canned anmnt by M at 1142, W anncr again briefly, mx bridge, and W again.  (15 August)
