Re: [HCDX] Weak carrier on 9720 KHz

Quick search in the DXLD archive show most reports of this were last from 2008y, except this one from 2010:

``9720.03, R. Victoria, 0640, Spanish, sermon by soft-spoken man,
parallel to 6019.26. June 6 (David Sharp, NSW Australia. NRD-535D, FT-
950, R8, ICF-2010, ICF-SW7600GR etc., dxldyg via DX LISTENING DIGEST)``

Perhaps more likely is this one in Aoki:
9720 SRI LANKA BC                  1115-1215 1234567 Tamil                   125 345 Trincomalee            CLN 0844N08108E SLBC a13 Jun.1           08  44  -81  08

The only major broadcaster scheduled on 9720 at this time: and we know SLBC has a hard time keeping their transmitters running, as in our 11905 logs (Glenn Hauser, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

Noted a threshold signal here with some audio off and on, but basically just a
carrier.  (Chuck Bolland, October 9, 2013)

tune in, noted ID in English as "... Radio Free Asia"  Then
program went to music in Laotian language (presumed).  At 1200, dead air
broadcasted until a few minutes after 1200 when a broadcast continues in
unknown language.  Signal seemed weaker than the one prior to 1200, so it
could be another station or the same one with a different antenna beam.  Prior
to 1200 however, the station was Radio Free Asia.  Please note that
country and language are both presumed.  (Chuck Bolland, October 9, 2013)

broadcast.  Station calling CQ.   Entire transmission was as
follows:   CQ CQ DE 570 ORO 570 ORO  Then he repeats the calling
to CQ.  After a few seconds, 570 ORO calls CQ again.   This
continues until 1231 UTC.  Signal was clear and strong.  Nothing
heard after 1232 UTC.
