Re: [HCDX] Hard-Core-DX Digest, Vol 130, Issue 22
Open message to Mr. Houser,
I hope you post this, like my other message was posted.
I feel a need to reply about my message on September 29, 2013. I sent this message out just to see if I would be able to post logs on this web site on an occasional basis, with an example of a catch I had made on the airwaves. It was not meant to be posted officially. I did not expect to have it posted over and over again on the web site along with the garbled message content.
One of my reasons for wanting to share is that I rarely see any logs from the East Coast where I live. I am not really interested in Mexican Stations or TX DXing as I am not able to receive stations from Mexico from my location. I do realize that this is part of the DX hobby. My interest is more on Shortwave DX.
Furthermore, I do proof read everything I send out. This particular message came from my I-Pad and when it transposed to your message system it was all garbled. That is not how I sent it out or what it looked like when I observed the screen prior to hitting "send.!" Also on the real logs I submit I always put down my location and transmitter site if known. by consulting AOKI or WRHB among other resources.
I strongly suggest that Mr. Houser take a look at his own message logs for proofing as " malfunxion " is spelled wrong unless I am mistaken. This could be a case of "do as I say not as I do?" or is he making up new words as he does abbreviations?
One of my Graduate school Professors told me to" Always take my own inventory before I take the inventory of others." Thank you in advance for letting me vent. I will not bother you any further. I have other sites I can post logs to with a lot less hassle.

My previous note about its schedule from Aoki as not starting weekdays until 1800 was obviously incorrect, not aided by REE`s confusing and changeable scheduling depending on day of week. Aoki axually shows 11815 as:
> 1200-1500 Mon-Fri
> 1200-2300 Sunday
> 1600-2300 Saturday
> 1800-2000 Mon-Fri

So XEGD in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua has decided to modulate with something other than hum as 24 hours ago (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

> ** OKLAHOMA. 930, Oct 21 at 1214 UT, WKY OKC airing long string of commercials for Mundo-Fox, plugging various programs, including ``The Breach en Espa?ol``, ``Jos? de Egipto``, in a loop such that Breach comes around again at 1219. Always branded as ``45.2 digital``, so is it only available as an off-the-air subchannel? They tell would-be viewers to ask their cable or satellite providers for it, a clue.
>
> RF 45 and virtual 45 in OKC is KOHC, a 15 kW digital class-A station per W9WI.com. Mundo-Fox is also branded as 45.2 in Spanish newspaper ads; and IIRC, Azteca Am?rica is on another subchannel, none indicated in W9WI.com. KOHC doesn`t make it to Enid, unlike full power 45s KOTV in Tulsa and KSNW in Wichita, and can only wonder how much these rip up KOHC close to OKC with a little tropo enhancement. Meanwhile, in Enid, RF31 and RF32 continue to provide 31.2 as Mundo-Fox, except it`s been nothing but silence and full color bars for weeks now (and 31.3 as Azteca, silence and black screen, whenever checked) (Glenn Hauser, Enid, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

> ** OKLAHOMA. 1380, Oct 21 at 1224-1229+ UT, Spanish with norte?a, M&W DJ chatter, steady signal and partly readable when nearest local 1390 KCRC splatter abates, and nulling it as much as possible. Presumably is KMUS ex-Muskogee, now officially Sperry meaning Tulsa market. Some sunrise skip enhancement as it hardly can make it here on groundwave (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
>
> ** SAUDI ARABIA. 15120, Oct 21 at 1401, hi-pitched continuous ``propeller`` noise, no intelligible modulation. Presumably malfunxion of the scheduled BSKSA Bengali service at 1200-1457, 500 kW, 70 degrees from Riyadh, per Aoki. HFCC shows span as 1200-1600 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

Hargeisa, JBA AM carrier with CW QRhaM including a V-test; slightly on the lo side compared to 1120 KEOR, which is within 4 Hz of KMOX, and this is further off than that. Able to just-barely hear it until cut off at 1401:07* for one-hour break before evening transmission 15-19v UT (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
