Re: [HCDX] [dxld] Radio Taiwan Int. test 6130 kHz

Thanks folks for the tip,

just opened e-mail program and then
looked into European remote units on 6130 and 9895 kHz:

both outlets are indeed from Al Dhabbaya UAE.

6130 S=9+15dB in Italy, S=9+40in western Germany, lesser signal strength of S=8-9 in eastern Germany, UK, Poland aund Finland post.

But always accompanied by a big bassy HUM BUZZ of 140 Hertz, I guess
strongly coming from TWR Africa Swaziland transmission in Portuguese
1920-1950 UT,

but on odd 6129.860 kHz.

Another transmission on odd frequency in UAE on 9895.048 kHz only S=6-7 all over Europe,

azimuth is meant towards zone 27SE - i.e. UK, France, Benelux, -
hard to believe that.

Only a faint carrier on 6310 here in central Milan. 9895, on the contrary,
is quite robust!

Concerning the test of 6130 kHz for Radio Taiwan International in French

It is indeed in use, and it sounds like all the previous attempts to serve
Europe with a 49 metres outlet from Al-Dhabbaya, rather weak and fadey.
When the carrier came up shortly before 1900 it was overshadowed by much
stronger Biblis on 6140 with Voice of America in Azeri wrapping up.

The scheduled 9895 from Al-Dhabbaya appears to be in use, too, if the
faint carrier on this frequency is not something else. It is even fainter
than 11875 from Issoudun, scheduled for this French broadcast to Africa,
indeed appearing to carry it (that's difficult to tell since there appears
to be a considerable delay between 9895 and 11875, presumably both being
independent play-outs).

Some source also claims that this transmission goes out on 7325 from
Woofferton, too: I have a faint carrier on this frequency which could be
anything. But it does not appear to be Woofferton.
