[IRCA] TP 1 Aug Victoria version
That was interesting, and annoying too, as the SDR recording failed
at 1200UT today....I suspect set up problems. But it was
completely contrary to Gary's Rockwork description, as this was the
best Asian morning of the new season in Victoria. The signal
strength recordings claim there was somewhat of a New Zealand showing
aroung 1230UT, but not like the earlier Asians.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
774 JOUB woman in Japanese 1122UT
(1566 came close to this level also)
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
1566 HLAZ woman in Chinese 1150UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
747 JOIB woman in Japanese //774 1118UT
1287 JOHR two men in Japanese 1104UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
594 woman and man talking, Japanese inflection? 11237UT
828 JOBB woman talking //774 1117UT
972 man talking, possibly Korean inflection 1153UT
1323 woman talking, Russian inflection 1147UT, first appearance of
CRI here, if so.
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
567 891 1206 seemed to be Asian;
531 603 1098 1386 1548 seemed to be DU
best wishes,
Nick
