[IRCA] TP 7 Dec Victoria version.

Victoria diverged from Alberta this morning, with a bit more of an uptick in conditions.  Things were reasonable at 1520UT and started to fade down, but there was a bit of a Chinese lift (no, not a martial arts move) about 1540UT as well.



pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK 1517UT

774 JOUB 1529UT

828 JOBB 1524UT

972 HLCA 1534UT




Reasonable audio at  times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling with splash or noise):

837 woman and man in Chinese 1542UT

891 JOHK woman //594 1517UT





not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker: 

567 JOIK woman //594 1519UT

639 CNR1 //945 1528UT

747 JOIB music box 1542UT

918 woman and man talking Chinese; some echo, 1555UT, then into music followed by more woman talking as it faded.   Sounded like 1548 // 918 on South Korean KiwiSDR, but earlier variety had now become just a woman talking, so hard to tell for sure.  Shandong seems very likely however.

945 CNR1 man in Chinese 1551UT; paralleled earlier with //639 and 1098, but someone else on channel also


Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) 


666 JOBK woman //594 1517UT

693 JOAB //828 1526UT

837 JOQK piano and guitar music //594 1525UT

846 man talking, Chinese intonation 1543UT

864 man talking, Korean?   1525UT

1098 CNR1 man //945//639 1539UT

1242 man talking, Japanese intonation 1602UT

1323 female ballad, assumed CRI  1543UT

1575 sounded like "you are listening to the Voice of America" intonation 1600UT





Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

 603 621 657 702 738 819 855 873   936 1206 1224 1566 seemed to be Asian; 
612 seemed  to be DU
