Re: [IRCA] KPOJ 620 Portland is now IBOC

Night IBOC will be the end of all your Beverage fun logging cool stuff from
the midwest and further east, but you'll still be able to wait for post
sunrise and also phase some stuff out and log TP's and DU's...although some
channels may be lost and you may suffer some IBOC from Hawaii, things won't
be hopeless, although you may be bored unless cx are superb.

Night IBOC when it is widespread and on every station will create such havoc
that it's noise will help obscure N.Am DX from Europe and maybe even the
DXped sites Down Under and in S. Africa.

Guys in the NE with cardiod type setups will still be able to clear enough
crap from many, but not all, of the TA channels to DX many of them.

Now if everything goes digital and analog goes away, things may be different
for domestics, although I suspect it will take very deep nulling to be able
to lock into something.

Another possibility (and maybe this isn't feasable) is some kind of very
fancy digital signal processessing to take out the IBOC hash on analog but
allow audio copy.
