[IRCA] Cortes Island TPs 3 July

Quite a difference in 24 hours...only 279 and 1287 delivered at all worthwhile Asian signals this morning, and there wasn't much DU activity either between 1100 and 1130UT.   Some DUs peaked around 1200UT, but nothing too astonishing

279....man in RR, fair and consistent between 1100 and 1130UT.  No other LW RR heard.


1287 poor readabibility, man talking, almost like a speech could have been JJ, gradually fading up to definite JJ 1119 ; 1124UT two announcers, maybe a sports broadcast?

audio traces 891,828, 1134, 1503; too low level / too much splash to ID, mostly DU? 

1116 man in DU EE briefly fair at 1113UT

1053 100Hz hum, but due to carrier 100Hz high, not sidebands, as heard in the spring

1566 good carrier 1120

774 mixture of two signals at 1121UT (JOUB/3LO?), became just DU sounding talk by 1130; 

612, 702 774 had various appearances over next half hour, mostly poor to fair, lots of splash, didn't seem parallel

792 rose up nicely at 1200UT, "ABC news" after fanfare, so 4RN; a little later 612 was fairly clear fighting w/splatter, and was the last to slip beneath the waves, so to speak.
