The past two weeks have been very interesting in the X-Band. This
past Tuesday (the 16th) I was hearing (presumed) CHHA with Spanish (?)
language --- on peaks at 1400 local. If not CHHA, ?Quien es? It's
interesting what can be logged on SSS while driving C-A-R-E-F-U-L-L-Y!
1610 UNID Three distinct stations, 2/17 @ 1750 with English
language under Spanish (?), and third UNID with instrumental music. A
real mess, though for a frequency with usually a single station, and
occasional HAR, interesting to note. Overall, poor to fair. (MH-NC)
1620 UNID Possibly WDND (Indiana) on 2/15 @ 1722 with ESPN
Sports and spot for "RelayIndiana.Com" After spot, back to sports. Fair.
(MH-NC)
1640 UNID Station with Radio Disney (WKSH?) at poor to fair
lvl 2/17 @ 1740. If they, would be my 2nd WI station. Will have to try
for a definitive ID. (MH-NC)
1670 UNID Initially thought this might be WFSM in Dry Branch,
GA @ 1814 on 2/16 with frequent mentions of Georgia on news (?) report.
Mention of something "reported in Hall County," so may be them, but
obviously not definitive. (MH-NC)
1700 WEUP AL, Huntsville on 2/17 @ 1805 with definite ID, but
mixing with 1) French sounding language station (I'm tempted to say
Creole or similar, but cannot be certain), 2) Big Band? Music (not AC or
the like), and 3) station with repeating message of a TIS/HAR format.
All mixed together in a soup. Basically, poor quality with each stn
taking turns on top. (MH-NC)
1710 UNID Male announcer, clearly in English 2/17 @ 1825-1840,
but at poor level. Possibly Lubavitcher, but on peaks, announcer seemed
to be casually talking. No music noted and nothing specific noted for
tentative ID. Regardless, first log of anything on 1710 using truck
radio. (MH-NC)
