Re: [IRCA] IRCA Digest, Vol 78, Issue 78

Around that same time (7:15am Central time or so) I was only getting a very weak BFO-detectable carrier on 774 here, on a barefoot Sony 7600GR--didn't have time to check for anything else.

TP's were a slightly better this morning. Receiver: Tecsun PL-310 with 7.5-inch loopstick. Local sunrise was at 1242.

558 unID, 1252, weak carrier, not heard earlier.
594 JOAK, Tokyo J, 1242, man speaking JJ, poor, faded out at 1244.
702 unID, 1224, carrier, not heard earlier, still audible at 1305.
774 JOUB Akita J, 1219, NHK2 "Basic English" EE/JJ, audio fading in & out. Carrier was audible until 1300.
792 unID, 1249, carrier.
828 JOBB Osaka J, 1221, carrier; 1245, weak audio fading away at 1246.
972 HLCA Dangjin KOR, 1239, weak het.

No other DX heard here this morning, except a few Mexican border stations. The only TA heard last evening was Algeria 531, plus usual hets on 909, 1089 and 1521.

Hoping the west coast DXer had a better time of it.
