There has been a fair amount of DX activity on the East Coast in the
September through November 2014 period.
This includes several DXpeditions as well as at-home activity.
I've put together a web page at '
http://chowdanet.com/markc/doc/audio_autumn2014.htm '.
This includes links to a number of reports. There is also an "audio
log" consisting of links to recent mp3 recordings I've made here in
South Yarmouth, MA.
Stations on the "audio log" include: Algeria (549), Sao Tome VOA
(1530), Colombia (550, 600, 650, 690, 720, 730, 760, 810, 1070, 1090,
1100), Venezuela (670, 750, 780, 940, 1110), Bonaire (800), British
Virgin Islands ZBVI (780), Cuba (530, 610, 620, 670, 730, 820, 840,
860, 870, 910, 1140, 1180), Guadeloupe (640), Puerto Rico (580, 600,
630) + domestics CBGA-1 NB (540), CBT NL (540), WDAE FL (620), WMEN FL
(640), WAXY FL + WPRV RI (790), WINZ FL (940), WDEL DE (1150), WCVR VT
(1320), WNZS ME (1340), WIRY NY (1340), WEGP ME with trace of WSPO SC
DX test (1390), WSLB NY (1400), WENI NY (1450), WKIP NY (1450), WCFR VT
(1480), and KXEL IA (1540). Some of this will go into reports
formatted for NRC and IRCA foreign and domestic DX columns.
European receptions were sub-par and not up to what I have featured
previously (e.g. at ' http://www.qsl.net/wa1ion/dx_audio.htm ') so I'm
holding off on including those. Needless to say, the PEI and Maine
DXpeditions have Europe well covered. In some cases audio is available
on those DXpedition pages.
Newfoundland was not active this year except for Allen Willie's
continuing efforts from Carbonear, NL. His reports tend to go on
Facebook regularly but not on anyone-can-access type websites.
