also the SSOB. Per EiBi it`s BBC in Hausa, irregular at 1300-1700;
Aoki and HFCC agree, except it`s on Day 7 = Saturday, but this is

** CUBA. 11760, Oct 19 at 0532, RHC English S8/S9 good mod, unusual
this late; no 9710, but // 6000 S9+25 with fair mod (Glenn Hauser, OK,

** CUBA. 11760, Sun Oct 19 at 1456, RHC Spanish S9 here, 13780 S6/S7,
and 15230 OCDA or JBM direct. By 1519, Knoxville SDR gets Esperanto
S8/S9 on 11760 from Radío Havano Kubo, nothing on 13780, 15140 or
15230. In a biweek after Yankee Imperialist DST finishes, should be

** OKLAHOMA. 1270, Oct 19 at 0615 UT, Spanish dominating with music,
no longer KFLC TX, non IDs as `Ritmo 107.9`, also 0632, 0702 finally
full ID in English as KRXO Claremore, back to Spanish music. Note that
the original and still KRXO-FM is 107.7 in OKC, unrelated programming,
sports talk in English. 107.9 is K300CY in Broken Arrow, some distance
from Claremore, but both rimming the Tulsa market (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** SPAIN. 17715, Sun Oct 19 at 1454 direct, and 1616 into Knoxville
SDR, only one REE frequency is on, nothing on 15520, 15500 or 15390.
On Sundays all four should be running after 1400 (Glenn Hauser, OK,

** TURKEY. 11660.019+, Sun Oct 19 at 1653, S9+20/25 into UTwente, VOT
English starts `Letterbox` with Cemre. 1) René Blumbaum?, somewhere in
the Indian Ocean, 7,133 km - from Ankara? Emirler? perhaps AI could
pinpoint it? 2) Miss --? --?, listens via UTwente. VOT may play some
English songs in future, drawing up a list listeners would like. 3)
Howard Burnett, England, tnx for QSL. 4) Chakroborty, northern India,
twice this week on 0300 broadcast, but 13 Oct both frequencies
unusable, 6165 & 7275, noisy - unclear whether they were really on air
or not. Asks for recording of missed L`box, and she emailed it to him,
NB other missees! 5) Mr. Vesa? Hekila?, northern Finland, 65 years
old, SWL since he was 17, 2,817 km away. 6) Alokesh Gupta wants B25
sked ASAP; will e- and p-mail it. 7) Miyake?, Japan, writes monthly;
about Sept. Japan has longest life-expectancies, many 100+; Sept
holidays? 15?/9 Turkish Language Day, 29/9 start of war of
independence. 8) Finland, writes in Turkish & English; heard TRT on FM
100.6 in June & August; has visited Istanbul. 1714 all the time,

several days at random chex, morning, afternoon, evening. No loss:
they are mired in the past preaching of DEJOM (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1060 kHz, Oct 19 at 0625 UT, ID for 93.9. WTFDA FMDB shows
the only  match is KNLV, Ord NE, with K230BR. NRC AM Log agrees and
KNLV is U1 1000/23 watts. Ord is NW of Grand Island in central NE,
also the source of NDB ODX, more often audible on 356 kHz (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1340 kHz, Oct 19 at 0617 UT, ads mentioning Springfield,
Branson, ramseysolutions.com, stays atop graveyard. Presumably KICK
Springfield MO (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1560, Oct 19 at 0700 UT, 2:00 TC and Town Hall News; English
talk has been overcoming usual Vietnamese KGOW TX. Besides a daytimer
in WV, NRC AM Log shows THN on KTUI Sullivan MO, U1 1000/25 watts.
Sullivan is NE of Rolla on I-44 halfway to St Louis (Glenn Hauser, OK,
