ON, NDB surprisingly audible with K-index at 0600 of 6.67 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 1610 kHz, Nov 6 at 0756 and 0813 UT, mushy sound on a
carrier, presumably CHHA Toronto out of order, the usual inhabitant
here (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 670 kHz, Nov 6 at 0746 UT, whooper is JBA under
WSCR; finally heard one of these again. Once a major R. Rebelde
channel, now listed are a dozen transmitters between 1 and 50 kW. If
one of these be whooping, it QRM all the others, more than WSCR (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, Nov 6 at 0730, RHC English on air *very* late,
S9+20/25 with squeal, and at 0758, 0808 still on air with squeal only,
S9+30. No other frequencies, except:

9710, Nov 6 at 0806, S9+25 open carrier, got to be RHC, where
something`s always wrong (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2320)

** CUBA. 15230, Nov 6 at 1546, dead air from RHC but off at 1547;
meanwhile, 15140 S9 squealing with music, stronger than 13780 S4,
which is weaker than 11760 S6/S8. Something`s always wrong at RHC

** MEXICO. 660, Nov 6 at 0745 UT, after rock music in English, ``Esto
es ABC Deportes``, i.e. XEFZ, Monterrey NL, 10/1 kW (Glenn Hauser, OK,

Fairmont / Beklof NE, right next to DDP 391 PR (Glenn Hauser, OK,

Also confirmed Thursday November 6 at 1730 on SW Gold Radio, Germany,
3975.001, S9/S7 into UTwente, no signal on 6160.

transmitter stays on --- The #1 transmitter went silent with no audio
alarm going off. The operator was not aware of the Stair audio loss.
The audio loss alarm will be fixed today. George McClintock

** U S A. 1431 kHz, Nov 6 at 0752 UT, the off-frequency het caused by
WYKG Covington GA is still audible, and should be very widely
detectable (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 5040, Nov 6 at 0803, JBA carrier, while nothing on 9960,
7260 or 3945, so presumably RV which has been reported currently on
5040, by Ron Howard Oct 24 at 1033: ``Radio Vanuatu (5040) with a very
strong signal today, via NZ remotes. Ron`` and by Craig Seager in
Australian DX News: ``5040 R. Vanuatu, Emten Lagoon. Good level
w/discussion px in Bislama 0916. No sign of SIBC on nearby 5020.

UNIDENTIFIED [and non]. 6180, Nov 6 at 0801, BRASIL, RNA music is
getting CCI from another station talking, but nothing else listed now
in HFCC, EiBi or Aoki; RNA is // 11780. Both start about *0750 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
