** U S A. 7505, Fri Nov 28 at 0735, gospel huxtress in English,
S9+15/25. On rare occasions like this, WRNO stays on well into the
night, but not necessarily on air from normal 0200 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
** U S A. 1080, Fri Nov 28 at 0805 UT, ``EWTN`` mentioned in English
under KRLD. NRC AM Log shows EWTN only once on 1080: WRYT Edwardsville
IL U7 500/20 watts.
https://www.ewtn.com/radio/affiliates-list
on 1080 only gets Edwardsville IL/St Louis MO, both WRYT and WYRT, the
second obviously? a typo!
But Relevant Radio, another RCC network, also has 1080 stations with a
bit more potential power per NRC AM Log: WGOS* Coral Gables FL, U4
50000/10000; and WHOO Winter Park FL U4 6000/55 watts. The question
is, whether Relevant would ever, such as now, be carrying an EWTN
program. Can`t find an EWTN Radio program sked, but Relevant Radio
sked shows in CST for this date: ``1:00am The Drew Mariani Show™
(Encore)`` But the EWTN website gets no hits searching on that name.
radio-locator.com for WRYT 1080 shows its website is
https://ourcatholicradio.org which is a.k.a. Covenant Network
WRYT nighttime coverage map is somewhat oval favoring NW/SE and a
slight indentation to the SW; while daytime map has a huge lobe toward
the SW, i.e. meward, when KRLD does not need protexion.
https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WRYT&service=AM&h=D
So the evidence points to WRYT on day power and pattern. Normally KRLD
does not suffer any such CCI here (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** VANUATU. 7260, Nov 28 at 0809, no signal from R. Vanuatu, but it
was JBA during previous hour, so must have QSYed to 5040. Ron Howard
agrees: ``Hi Glenn - Yes, confirmed on Nov 28, that Radio Vanuatu on
7260 has a cut off time of 0758:0* UT, switching to 5040 within a
matter of seconds (so it's on at *0758), heard via a Kiwi SDR remote
at Marahau, NZ. Ron (Monterey, Calif.)`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
