** BRAZIL. 11756.2, Nov 28 at 2314, JBA carrier, surely R. Voz
Missionária variant today, nothing on 11750 or 11755, while RNA is big
on 11780 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA [and non]. Zero known RHC frequencies on air, Nov 28 at 2320
just like 3 hours earlier; but 5025 Rebelde is on, as are CRI relays
on 13650, 5990. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
** CUBA [non]. 11860 & 11930, Nov 28 at 2315, R. Martí still on hear,
no more on 13 or 15 MHz, with ``Las Noticias Como Son`` promo over and
over for 4 & 9 pm airings. I suspect this be a play on words. ``Como
Son`` could mean ``as it is`` as well as ``like a sound`` = short for
sonido (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

music, S7/S8. These say it`s Captain Morgan Shortwave Radio:

6927 AM, an even weaker JBA signal maybe another pirate on a Friday
night. Nothing lately HFU tho Liquid Radio was on 6915 an hour
earlier. Hardly ever do I hear a pirate well enough to enjoy the
music, much less try to ID it, so I`m glad to leave that to others

** OKLAHOMA. 95.1, here`s more about the OG&E pirate/part 15
transmitter again on the air in Enid, from Nov 28`s newspaper:
``Enid Lights Up the Plains back for 32nd year
Kevin Hassler | Enid News & Eagle 22 hrs ago
ENID, Okla. — Christmas will take over downtown as Main Street Enid
presents its 32nd Enid Lights Up the Plains celebration Friday, Nov.
28, 2025.
“Each year, Enid Lights Up the Plains brings our community together in
the heart of downtown,” said Natalie Rapp, executive director of Main
Street Enid. “This event has become a tradition for Enid residents and
visitors to kick off Christmas, and this year we celebrate the 32nd
year. We can’t wait to see downtown glow and families making memories
together.”
Events will begin at 5 p.m. and will include carriage rides, barrel
train rides, live music, photos with Santa, Christmas vendors, food
trucks, shops open late, the OG&E Tree of Lights, the Parade of Lights
and the popular Park Avenue Thrift grand firework finale.
The live band providing holiday tunes will include Sean Gallagher,
Kegan Tuohy, Steven Harwood, Katie Pearce, Dave Roberts and Barton
Bailey.
At 6, Ryan Sudlow will present the OG&E Tree of Lights show on the
Garfield County Court House lawn.
“He’s been a wonderful volunteer who spends hours and hours and hours
programming the light show on the courthouse lawn,” Rapp said. “He’s
wonderful and does that all for free. We’re excited to add a few new
songs for that.”
The tree light show will be choreographed to music each night through
the Christmas season after Friday’s festivities. The show will start
at the top of the hour at 5 p.m. and continue every 30 minutes until
11. Watchers can tune their vehicle radios to 95.1 FM to hear the
music as they watch the lights.
The Parade of Lights will begin at 6:15, with individuals and groups
with decorated vehicles, trailers and floats parading around the
downtown Square.
The fireworks finale, which is a big hit with the crowd, is set for
7:15....`` However, even inside our house, we could hardly escape the
noise pollution of fireworx explosions at 0117-0127 UT Nov 29.
Presumably, 95.1 will keep playing music long after this event, for
the rest of the `season``. Sounds like fun? Not so much; it`s 52
degrees, wind S at 17 mph resulting in windchill of 47. Even tho the
activities are in the frigid outside, it`s still a super-spreader
event as no one else in Enid ever wears a mask but us; so we haven`t
been to one in the COVID era; never again?
BTW, this mere ``Tree of Lights`` is not to be confused with ``The
One, Christ Tree`` a very tall fake Xmas ``tree`` re-erected each year
a few blox to the south, whose big event will occur tomorrow. AFAIK it
lax any FM transmitter. But it`s backed by the owner of KGWA who
promoted Lush Rimbaugh and still his ilk to our beloved community
(Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** SPAIN. 17715, Fri Nov 28 at 2300, perfunctory check of REE even tho
it`s not a possible English day, best here but barely; also on 12030,
and JBA carrier on 17755 while the NAm frequency 9690 remains
imaginary (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** TURKEY [non]. 5960, Nov 28 at 2258, no signal in English from VOT
direct; algo fluttery S9+10/20 on accidentalternate 9610. But at 2341
into UTwente, only Chinese on 5960 and algo not VOT on 9610.
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler. Furthermore, this prevents
any extraneous German from airing at 2400! (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2323 monitoring: confirmed Friday
November 28 at 2156 the 2130 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1322.997, S9+15
VG into nearby Noale SDR; followed at 2159 by `Counterspin`, opening
of the program, not a separate promo, until chopped for ID and 2200
Feature Story News. How rude! Counterspin is an excellent program and
deserves to be heard in full on a regular schedule.
WOR 2323 also confirmed Friday November 28 at 2300 on WRMI 9955, S9
+20/30 direct but as always on this channel, sounds undermodulated;
immediately followed a show playing `California Dreaming` and a quick
WRMI ID from it to conclude rather than a full WRMI canned ID.
Also confirmed Friday November 28 at 2335 the 2330 on SW Radio Gold,
Germany, 3975.003, VP S6/S7 into UTwente; better S9 on 3975.002+ into
Noale, Italy SDR which I use mainly for 1323; best into recommended
Barney`s at Bedford UK, S9. Next:
NOT UT Sat Nov 29 at 0400 on WTWW 5085, because George McClintock
notified me at 0055 that the transmitter is down again: one of two
heat pumps failed; it can operate on one, but will have to be rewired
first, so a plumber is expected on Monday to do that and get back on
the air by next week.

** U S A. 15770//17790, Nov 28 at 2259, WRMI with heavily African
accented barely and ultimately recognized as English on both, then
chopped off for separate programming. Supposedly both on System H at
this hour, but System H shows 15770 only with R. Prague in English: I
think not. System E thinx it has 17790 from WRN during that hour. And
WRN has Deutsche Welle, which we know has some African-accented
programs, strangely enough. Something`s odd at Okeechobee (Glenn

7490 -50 Hz = 7489.950, FKB S9/+10. By 0057, 5130 -76 is on with IS
