** U S A. Pre-`AAAWWW` chex of WBCQs, UT Sat Jan 17 at 0054: no
signals on 3265, 5130, 6160, 9330, and only JBA on 7490! *0055, 5130
cuts on as usual with IS & ID loop, so it would be best/only, but I`ve
switched to (7490) stream, at first playing at double speed and double
pitch. Is that WBCQ fault or my Winamp? Never did that before.
Apparently new ep as no rerun disclaimer. First comment over WTO
theme: ``OK, OK, let me tell you, folx``, and single word at 0103
during pause in music: ``hope``. I always note those so one can later
determine right away if it be a rerun. AW still not fully recovered
from flu caught on plane two weeks ago. World needs SW now more than
ever. Laments ``Trump derangement syndrome``, accusing his opposition
of being the bad moonbats buying into Socialism! The *real* TDS is
suffered by those who still think *rump is wonderful. 0118 finally
gets around to datestamp as 16th day of January, YOOLF in Heaven,
2026; 45 degrees F in Fla, low was 28 or 25. 0128 trimulcasting on
7490, 6160, 5130.
Some changes: 9330 is off, not a tech problem, but ``hiatus for a
while by a contracted client`` = World`s Last Chance, never mentioned
by name. This just happened last Sunday. So is available for major new
client(s), too expensive to sell time piecemeal. Not only 360 degrees
rotatable but beam can be varied from narrow to wide. Must charge much
more than the standard $ 50/hour rate on classic 50 kW transmitters.
0130 imposes ``cone of silence`` for coughing? Maybe Voice of America?
He muses. As a private business, WBCQ could operate more efficiently
at a lower cost than a government entity.
0134 a tune for Dominic. Now I check the NH SDR where 6160 is JBA
S9/S6. Song was Joni Michell, ``Turn Me On`` - as a radio? 0142
another tune, Ringo Starr, ``No-no Song``. 0145 Radio World story
about numbers of US radio stations, slight decreases in most
categories, except non-commercial educational! He doesn`t realize that
the increase is due to gospel-huxters falling into that category,
besides genuine public secular radio. 0151 some emails: Jerry in Nyack
with anti-*rump comments, causing Angela to *yell* an expletive at
him. 0155 ``Vinyl Records`` song, chopped at 0157, as Allan starts
talking off-mike, barely picked up by Angela`s mike. Then turns on and
repeats. 0159 concludes that the Super-Stition is ``up for lease,
rent, *acquisition*, or whatever``. That last means it`s even *for
