** ARGENTINA [non]. 9455, Fri Jan 30 at 2305, on Maryland SDR S9+25, I
tune in late to WRMI with RAE relay in Portuguese, as `Atualidade DX`
is already in progress. BTW, why is this aimed at Oklahoma instead of
Brasil? I`ve previously caught it on a Friday as well as a Tuesday. I
recognize some of the DX `news` items as heard before from them, but
not the same as earlier this week. Mali on 5995, Kyrgyzstan on 4010,
Sri Lanka 125 kW in Bengali at 0030-0230, 11905 at 1630-1830 on 11750
in Sinhala --- both of which have been OFF SW for quite some time.
Also gave email addresses to contact each station. 2307 some other
media news, like the AER website for SW skeds; CNN Argentina on FM in
General Roca, something about cell phones in Perú. Venezuela, thousand
layoffs at stations? And credits DX.com.ar and Arnaldo Slaen. Later I
try that website and get this: titled ``Acceso Extranet`` but nothing
on the page except fields for user name and password to log in, no
further info about what it is or how to get them. Another browser
warns: ``Website blocked due to riskware -- because it may contain
malicious activity.``!! Finally plugging an upcoming DX meeting in
Pernambuco on Fri/Sat/Sun March 10-11-12 --- that can`t be 2026! and
then they let slip that it`ll be in **2023**!!! So another 3-year-old
DX olds program from RAE. Don`t you believe it. NÃO ACREDITE NISSO.
BTW, I have no quarrel with respected DXer Arnaldo: he may have
nothing to do with RAE re-broadcasting such outdated stuff from him. I
hope he be aware of this, at least from my observations (Glenn Hauser,

** CUBA. 15230, Jan 31 at 1545, S6/S8 deadair, must be RHC. But the
usual 15140 & 11760 are absent, not 11880 either. All RHC frequencies
were absent Jan 30 afternoon, but I didn`t get around to checking
further into UT Jan 31, nor the CRI relays like 13650, 5990. Anyone
notice whether on or not? At 1956 check no RHC frequencies audible

America, while there are little or no signals on 9690 to N Am, 12030

must be JA. Axually tuned to 342 USB. JL Joplin MO, and JA Jaxonville

** U S A. 323 MCW kHz, Jan 31 at 0719 UT, ND beacon OUK is JBA, new
one for me. Classaxe RNA list: CalhOUn GA, 24 watts, supposedly
decommissioned in 2019 but still transmitting, last report 2026-01-18.
Calhoun is in NW GA, just south of Dalton along I-75 (Glenn Hauser,

Not confirmed UT Sat Jan 31 at 0400 on WTWW 5085, as it remains
totally off the air. However I was informed that 2332 was ready to
play should it be on.
Confirmed Saturday January 31 at 1553 the 1530 on SW Radio Gold,
Germany, into UTwente: 3975.001 S8/S9 and 6160.001+ S9/+10.
Also confirmed Saturday January 31 at 1630 on WRMI 9955, S9/+20 into
Knoxville SDR.
Also confirmed Saturday January 31 at 1700 on WRN via WRMI 9395,
S7/9+10 into Knoxville SDR; rough start again, ``Welcome to
Encore...`` before pause and play WOR.
Also confirmed Saturday January 31 at 1718 the 1700 on WRN via WRMI
7730, S7/S8 into Miramar FL SDR - after NO signal direct nor into
several other remotes in SE USA. 7730 is always VP if not JBA here to
the NW as it`s aimed NE; but so is 15770, easily heard. Is Miramar
getting 7730 by direct/groundwave? Approx. distance 149 km = 93 miles
to the SSE of Okee. It`s surely too clear and loud to be backscatter.

a minute, but half a minute before 0100:00, so he is chopped for
canned ID before he can finish his contact info. NO advisory that
following aired originally, but it *is* a rerun of UT Jan 10, since
Allan talx over theme at first, ``Absolutely amazing this radio thing
that we do...`` and single-word exclamation later, ``blaze``? Never
