** CHINA. 18970, Apr 16 at 1454, S5 of Chinese, the OSOB, no doubt
CNR1 jamming vs Sound of Hope, but only at 22-12 per EiBi. Not in HFCC
of course, but other CRI frequencies on this little-used band are in
DRM from Kunming to Au/NZ at various times: 18985, 19005, 19015 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** COLOMBIA. 5910, Apr 16 at 0638 weak music vs splash from 5920 WTWW
direct. Presumed Alcaraván Radio, now in English (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA. 9710, Apr 16 at 0635, S9+20 of dead air from RHC where
something`s always wrong. Earlier: ``[WOR] Vatican Radio and RHC
cochannel 9710 -- Listening to a very strong Vatican Radio on 9710 at
0505 tune-in, in Byelorussian. Cochannel, however, is an English
speaker, and I immediately recognize him as the announcer on RHC. If
not for VR, it would be quite well heard into Masset. 73, Walt
Salmaniw, Enjoying the world of radio from my remote QTH on Haida
Gwaii off the NW coast of BC, Canada``. HFCC and WRTH say 0500-0520
daily in [Red] Russian, but Volodya should tell the difference. WRTH
shows ``Belarusian`` only at 1700-1720 on 9710 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** KOREA NORTH. 9435V, Apr 16 at 1458, VOK, S4/S5. This frequency
always displays a rapid wobble, or buzz, not a clean carrier. EiBi
shows 1300-1750 for N America including English at 13-14, 15-16 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. Re my questioning whether VOT dared to report about the
school shootings in Turkey, there is a story on the website, about
Erdogan`s reaxion to it:
https://www.trtworld.com/article/45c07c5e1e95
but it would be hard to find any other negative purely domestic news
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
