** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RCUSB, re LRA36 not audible January 5, but did
Manuel Méndez, Lugo, Spain, hear it? He replies, ``Hi Glenn, I forgot
to check yesterday Wednesday, but I guess the 2021 staff will have
already left Base Esperanza and it will be a while before the new
staff start transmitting again. Best 73,s`` -- but they have surprised
us before so let`s keep checking (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 5938.961, January 6 at 0712, RVM JBA carrier measured here
in severe splash from 5935 WWCR. While on 31m it`s been drifting up
beyond 9666, on 49m it`s going down as others have been reporting it
below rather than above 5939, let alone nominal 5940 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2120)

** INDIA. On WOR 2120, about AIR Leh, I said it`s one sesquikHz below
4760, but meant only one sesquiHz, as measured by Wolfgang Bueschel.
It`s the only AIR domestic SW station still on air after Dec 31,
presumably also the daytime frequency 6000 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

WORLD OF RADIO 2120, 0130 UT Friday Jan 7 confirmed on WRMIs: 5850 VG
direct; 7780 S8/S9+10 into UTwente SDR. However, System F as heard on
5850 has misaligned continuity. Consistently between the WRMI ID and
start of WOR, some extraneous music butts in for a couple seconds;
worse, before I can finish speaking at 28:57 into the file, WRMI promo
ID fires overlapping and blotting me out. I am already leaving 3
seconds of dead air at the end of my always 29:00 files which had been
compensating for an overlap. Similar things happen to other airings
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6114, Jan 6 at 0706, the RTTY INTRUDER is back after a
few nights away; too close to 6115, R Nikkei, Japan altho it can be
split off with USB. I asked the UDXF iogroup if anyone could ID it.

``Glenn, FSK/50/200 encrypted. No history found. 73 de JimD (MPJ),
Wessex, Radio amateur, ex pro radio person. Retired.``

Mike Chace-Ortiz: I see what looks like 50bd/850 STANAG4481 FSK on one
of the Irish SDRs, so I’d suspect US Navy. Will be a tough one to DF
with the interfering broadcaster so close by but I’ll see what I can
do. 73 —mco``

JL 263, West Texas: ``Mike, 6114.0 kHz has been on the air for a
couple of days. I got a TDoA close to NSY at Niscemi, Italy.
PDF 6114.0 KHZ CF FSK 75-850 USN NSY NISCEMI ENC.pdf

https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/groupsioattachments/3085/88242806/102652/0?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAJECNKOVMCCU3ATNQ&Expires=1641508136&Signature=QdC9Hl7TLfTQ1u3WwSoRqAo%2BafQ%3D&response-content-disposition=inline%3B+filename%3D%226114.0%2520KHZ%2520CF%2520FSK%252075-850%2520USN%2520NSY%2520NISCEMI%2520ENC.pdf%22

It is a 75/850 using what appears to be KW-46 type encryption. Joe``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2120)

Later after WOR, Mike Chace-Ortiz replies again: ``Hey Joe, This
appears to be 75bd/850 STANAG4481 FSK from the Azores. Previously seen
on 8962 & 5454.5 kHz in December. Old and new algorithm runs attached.
73 —mco``` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
