NIGERIA 7254.935 kHz traced as VoNigeria Abuja TX switch on at exact
05.58:04 UT on Monday August 22. Checked from 05.50 UT time slot.

Typical West African like drums / xylophone mx mixture interlude theme
started at 05.58:15 UTC,
S=8 signal noted in Rochester NY state on K2ZN Perseus SDR installation,
S=9+15dB even at Rockland Massachusetts coastal state on AJ1L SDR unit.

VoNigeria's Hausa service ID annmt start at 06.00:20 UTC then. Today much,
much better audio signal level, compared to low 5% modulation yesterday on
Sunday Aug 21.

7254.933 kHz string of VoNIG Abuja visible, but propagation-wise tiny
signal at 18.00 UT on Monday Aug 22 in southern Europe.

In Russian and Delhi SDR units noted 7255even kHz signal, of China's PBS
Xizang Tibetan language via Lhasa Baiding to close-down at 18.05 UT.

[selected SDR options, span 13.5 kHz RBW 15.3 Hertz]

ouço ocasionalmente pouco antes do amanhecer. Obrigado Joe Ihnat, na lista

The YL newscaster at first was much easier to understand than the later
speakers. I kept listening but could not really follow the content. S/N did
not improve as the hour went on. At 1830 it was the Dir-Gen of NBC? plugging
the various platforms of VON but unsure if he included SW. After 1830 there
was some 2adjacent QRM from 7265 which would be CRI Urumqi in Bulgarian, or
music. No problem from RRI DRM on 7240-7250. VON chopped off the air
abruptly at 1846*.
Recheck at 1915 now 7255 bears S9+15/25 of CRI Tuerkiyish from Kunming.

Today Aug 25 am hearing VON on 7255 minus 66/67 Hz into Canary SDR, 1800
news about Nigeria in English, still past 1815. S7/S9 and noisy, nearest
storms in Morocco, also Mauritania, Mali. No QRM. Well before sundown at
receiver, but after SS in Nigeria. Nowhere near the blasting signal we would
get at 0600 when active.

VoN signal abruptly disappeared at 1808. The signal on 7255.0 had
disappeared earlier, probably closer to 1800; I didn't catch it exactly.
