LRA36 into Argentine remotes. Since has been missing last week
presumably summer hiatus, did not alarm me an hour earlier, but
checking after natural awakening. Now the best Argentine KiwiSDR,
LU4AA is offline. Two others show *NO* SW signals at all on their
waterfalls, altho band noise sounds as if receiving: LU5AGQ, LU4EEC.
The only funxional one, LU1HCW, hears it not. Of course, possibly came
and went earlier today circa 1500; anyone hear it, or try to? (Glenn

** BRAZIL. 5938.241, Jan 7 at 0750, JBA carrier in sideband of huge
5935 WWCR. I`m deliberately seeking R Voz Missionária, reconfirmed
active here; also at 0752 on 9665.312, music at S3/S5. AND at 0755 JBA
on 11749.702, just reactivated frequency: so they do have three
transmitters. 11750 power must be minuscule, as RNA 11780 from 0800
``Bom dia - Brasil rural`` blasting in at S9/+10, rated 250 kW.
Art Delibert reported: ``11749.56 -- Hearing the reactivated Voz
Missionária here from about 0232 this evening, parallel to 9665.32.
Music and talks in Portuguese. Fair signal level, but lots of local
noise here. Tnx Glenn Hauser for the tip on reactivation (Art

implying the other two were not inactive. Strangely, no callsigns
shown for 5940 & 11750, but ZYE890 for 9665.

of dead air too. Something`s always wrong at RHC.
9535, Jan 7 at 0802, this RHC is still on! S4/S6 modulating Spanish.

here. B22 EiBi shows R. Ndarason Intl for Chad at 06-07 Woofferton,
07-08 Ascension. Also blox the exotic Apsua Radio from Georgia at

** MALI. 5995, Sat Jan 7 at 1853, weekly English from ORTM, S5/S8 into
Canary SDR, but terrible whine/squeal from something and splash from
6000 even with AMNarrow or SAL tuning. Heavy accents from M&W
announcers further make it almost unintelligible, barely recognizable

** NIGERIA. 7255-, Jan 7 at 0747, VON is on at S9/S6 but dead air.

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2172 monitoring: confirmed Friday
January 6 at 2130 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323 kHz only, good
S9+10/20 into nearby Noale SDR with lite QRMusic from understation
presumably Brighton.
Also confirmed UT Saturday January 7 at 0130 on WRMI 5850, VG S9+30
direct. This is the major early broadcast NW across North America.
Distracted by events in Washington, I miss checking at 0500 Sat
January 7 on WBCQ Radio Angela 5130-; contrary to my info when
recording it, by then was expected to be restored to full 29 minute
airing instead of 1 like last week. Did anyone hear it, staying on
until 0529?
Also confirmed Saturday January 7 at 2030 on WRN webcast for North
America; following 2029 Feature Story News - make that Olds, as Simon
still says McCarthy is not yet elected speaker, which was more than 12
hours ago.

on 7260 around 0000, no more after 0900; maybe not propagating to
