[DX] US Naval Observatory Master Clock revisited
Tervehdys,
Palataan vielä tähän marraskuun 5. päivänä kuuluneeseen US Naval
Observatoryn Master Clock signaaliin, josta MKA kirjoitti jo aiemmin.

Dear Mr. Solatie,
I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your questions. I found 7 links by
googling "1480 khz" and "Naval Observatory", two of which are in a
language which I do not understand (but you might).
We do make our time announcer signals available by direct connect to
three broadcasters, at their expense. From time to time I hear that one
of their affiliates in Canada broadcasts our signals. It would not all
surprise me if the signals you heard were of this nature.
I would appreciate receiving the audioclip, however.

Dear Sirs,
I have heard a radio station on 1480 kHz broadcasting the
announcement "US Naval Observatory Master Clock, at the tone Eastern
Standard Time ...". It was heard on the 5th November at 01.55-02.10 EST
on 1480 kHz.
May I kindly ask if you know the origin of this signal? Are
there any radio stations in USA broadcasting this signal on 1480 kHz?
If you wish, I'd be happy to email you a short audioclip about
the reception quality.
Thank you so very much for your reply in advance!
With best wishes,
Jim Solatie, Espoo, Finland
