[DX] Ethiopia mw - Radio Sidama
ETHIOPIA:
Radio Sidama - Sidama Educational Radio was set up
with Irish overseas aid in late 1990's. It is located in the
town of Yirgalem, near Awassa. Operating on mediumwave
954 kHz with Gates 2.5 kW transmitter.
On weekdays mainly educational programs for schools,
during weekends other educational programs. Languages
used are Amharic, Sidamo and English. Approximate operating
hours are: M-F 0500-1400, SS 0400-1500 UT. During daytime
there might be some breaks in the schedule. The postal address is
