[IRCA] TP 20 Aug Victoria version
Not an astonishing morning, fairly low band and somewhat Asiatic with
surprising strength on JOAK, briefly. A fair number of DU carriers
also though.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
not today
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
594 JOAK man and woman being hilarious in Japanese 1235UT, man
mumbling underneath might have been 3WV which had been heard
earlier, but no parallels at the time.
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
612 4QR man and woman in DU English 1253UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
594 3WV woman talking 1143UT //612
693 older man talking in CBU splash, sounded Japanese but no parallels 1244UT
774 man talking, not //612, and could have been Japanese, plus there
was a woman talking also that seemed //612 but very fragmented 1136UT
828 man talking, Japanese inflection 1237UT
1566 man talking Japanese inflection 1243UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
747 seemed to be Asian;
531 567 576 585 675 702 756 891 909 1116 seemed to be DU
best wishes,
Nick
