[IRCA] TP 16 Dec Victoria version
Quite lively for at least the low band Asians from 1300UT onwards,
but the fade down after 1530UT was followed by a post sunrise boost,
that lasted for about 15 minutes, then HLAZ came up to strength and
made a number of decent appearances until more than an hour after sunrise.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
594 JOAK man in Japanese 1512UT
774 JOUB woman singing 1456UT //828
828 JOBB man in Japanese 1502UT //774
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
972 HLCA man and woman in Korean 1502UT
1566 HLAZ. Did not come up to this level until 1633UT (sunrise
1558UT), with man in Russian, returning several times to this
strength up until 1652UT, but still remained audible until after 1700UT.
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
567 JOIK man in Japanese 1456UT
747 JOIB woman singing 1457UT //774; last of the NHK2 stations at
1603UT with music box s/off.
1503 JOUK man in Japanese //594 which was weaker; 1610UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
603 man mumbling 1501UT after quiet music across the hour; HLSA?
702 NHK2 man talking //774 1512UT
873 JOGB man talking //774 1505UT
1593 CNR1 man talking, then female vocal //6125 and leading it slightly 1611UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
639 846 864 891 945 954 1143 1188 1242 1269 1287 1323 1386 1422 1458
1494 1512 1557 1575 seemed to be Asian;
nothing seemed to be DU
