Thursday, April 03 2025
MAJOR A25 SHORTWAVE SCHEDULES now linked from WOR homepage http://www.worldofradio.com
** AZORES. 17946 USB, April 2 at 2214, selcall tones and ATC contact mentioning Santa Maria, so probably there among many others on frequency over N Atlantic and Canadian Arctic routes, per Klingenfuß 2022 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** BRAZIL. 11780.009, April 2 at 0149, RNA with another English segment, S9/+10 into Georgia SDR, part 2 of last night`s interview with culture minister of Pará state, something about urbanity, forests and islands. This time the original sound seems faded down completely during English translation, once ``established``. 0154 Brazuguese ID, then same in Spanish with Brazilian accent. 0158 outro, s/off of 6180 & 11780, ref to web and MW 980 and off* by 0200 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CHINA. 13690, April 2 at 2218, S9+10/20 with heavy flutter, hi-pitched singing, Chinese? announcement, then definitely Spanish. HFCC shows CRI at 2100-2300, 500 kW, 315 degrees from SZG site = Shijiazhuang, which is just SW of Beijing per WRTH map, to CIRAF 37NW = Spain (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** FRANCE. 9605-9610-9615, April 2 at 0607, DRM noise at S9+25. HFCC shows irregular from TDF ISS, two different entries at 06-07, both expiring 010625 = 1 June instead of entire A25 season to 261025: 100 kW, 280 degrees for CIRAF 27W = British Isles; and 100 kW, 232 degrees for CIRAF 36,37W,46W = W Africa and adjacent Atlantic (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** FRANCE. 21705-21710-21715, April 2 at 1455, DRM noise is the OSOB. HFCC shows TDF ISS at 0500-1700, 150 kW at 110 degrees to CIRAFs 44SW,49NE,49S,50,54 = SE Asia (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6935 AM, April 1 at 2344, pirate music JBA vs HNL. These say it`s Thunder Chicken Radio: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,142979.0.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 1670 kHz, April 2 at 1942 UT, Virtual DJ Radio low-power relay circa junxion of US81 & US412 in Enid, on the air as always, playing `Ghost Riders in the Sky` and then `Big John` (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 95.1 FM, April 2 at 1900 UT, FINALLY, dead air in $ tereo is off the air in downtown Enid; carrier was still running as of a few days ago, more than 3 months after Xmas with music to accompany OG&E`s `tree of lights` just north of the Garfield County courthouse. Now the coast is clear for CP of KOKJ-LP on 95.1, altho I have not heard anything from the guy behind it as to progress. If, that is, the other 95.1, stay gone (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** SPAIN. 15500 & 15390, April 2 at 2159, again today, 50% of REE transmitters are missing; but 17715 for S America is VG direct, S9+10/20 but seems slightly overmodulatedistorted, better than 15520 for ME at S8/9+10. Again opens with A25 overall sked but no language details. 2202 preview feature something about Extremadura. 2203 news opens with EU reaxion to Drumpf tariffs (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. Fixing `2354` time typo in this April 1 item; proofread!: 11785.002, next VOT English of 2200 is not off the air, not checked until 2234 April 1, S9+5/10 into Maryland SDR, with feature voiced by Efsun the axentuated. Considerably weaker than 11780 Brasil, S9+10/25 providing ACI, not even evitable by USB tuning. 2254 s/off as if it were 1230 on 17620, the usual always awry at Ankara (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 17815, April 2 at 1457, Turkish talk, music at S5/S7. HFCC shows 1300-1600 TRT, 250 kW, 310 degrees for CIRAF 27,28 = W and C Europe; and USward beyond (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9875.003-, April 2 at 2032, VOT VG S9+25/35; but some choral CCI from Korea North underaudible at 2037. Not going back to 9870 as on March 30? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 11784.999, April 2 at 2158, VOT IS & ID in English, S9+10/12 direct vs S8/9 noise level, unlistenable. At 2241 into UTwente, when measured, surprisingly not solid at all, S9/+10 with flutter; skipping over? So trying NH SDR, showing 11785.006, S9+20/35 much better with music. 2248 break in carrier for a few sex. 2253 s/off as if it`s 1230 on 17620, awry at Ankara, IS to 2255.5* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 28222+ CW, April 2 at 204, dash and VVV DE W1DLO/B alternating slow and fast rates. WGB list: ``28221.5 W1DLO/B - Calais ME USA FN65je - #0/1/2 (31 Mar 2025) Note: VVV de ID + grid + Calais Maine + 9" carrier``. QRZ.com: ``W1DLO USA flag USA, Daniel L Owen, 27 Roundstone Dr, Glenburn, ME 04401-1209, USA``, with huge list of equipment and: ``10m CW propagation beacon``: http://qsl.net/w1dlo/beacon including 10 watts, 20 and 5 wpm. I really think it was slightly above 28222, not below (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2288 monitoring: ``Richard Lemke, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, From the desk of Richard’s listening Post, Radio: JRC NRD-535 HF (30 years of service), Antenna: random long wires in the trees. WRMI, USA, World of Radio #2288, 9395 kHz, QRN, 2330 (45433), below S7 signal; very unsettled (45433), S6, S7, voice heard at any ID pulling out difficult, much better at 2359, voice heard, April 1 UTC 2025 [Wed] (Lemke, Richard -AB)`` Confirmed Tuesday April 1 at 2334 the 2330 on WRMI 9395, S9+20/30 direct including noise level. Missed checking same time on SW Radio, Germany, 3975; anyone hear it? Confirmed Wednesday April 2 at 1930 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975.002-, S8/9+5 into UTwente. Also confirmed Wednesday April 2 at 2100 on WBCQ 7490 -77 Hz = 7489.923, S9/+10 into Maryland SDR. Next: 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975. Financial support appreciated for our non-commercial public service program: thanks for a contribution from Philip Erickson, ``for support of SWL and WOR from a listener since 1977``, via PayPal in US funds but not necessarily, to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute via MO or check on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9917 & 9943 approx., parasitic spurs from huge WTWW 9930 signal with TOMBS, not measured precisely but just like happens around 5085 when it`s active, supposedly two different transmitters (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9265, April 2 at 2222, WINB is S9+10/20 but JBM (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 2352 UT April 2 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

73 de wolfie From: Ron Howard via groups.io Sent: Wednesday, April 02, 2025 1:11 PM Subject: [WOR] Remote log of Voice of Indonesia (4755 kHz.)
INDONESIA. 4755, Voice of Indonesia (Channel One), via Cimanggis/Jakarta, at 1003 UT, April 2, via Kiwi SDR remote at Jakarta; VOI English hour with the news (list of aid being sent to Myanmar after the 7.7 earthquake, etc.; news story https://english.news.cn/20250402/11a67830bca04e0baf581567df0d3e34/c.html [April 2]) 1010-1012: "Commentary," about "Homecoming" (millions of Indonesians will travel back to their hometowns for the Eid al-Fitr celebrations at the end of Ramadan, a tradition known as "mudik," with authorities anticipating a massive exodus). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mudik - ". . . According to Indonesian National Police brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, 2024 Mudik season has reached record of 193 million peoples who participate in this exodus cycle. . ." 1012-1027: Only pop songs and IDs (definitely a change of format from their past feature of "Today in History," which I miss!). 1027: "Let's speak Bahasa Indonesia" unusually very brief spot; not their normal extensive feature; followed by pop song. 1032: "Indonesian Wonders" (item about tourism); followed by pop song. Checking various remotes, find no trace of the now long standing silent // VOI on 3325, via Palangkaraya. Glenn Hauser logs April 1, 2025 |
|
Tuesday, April 01 2025
** CANADA. 328 MCW kHz, April 1 at 0647 UT, dash and YTL, 1000-watt NDB at Big Trout Lake ON; I was tuned to 329 and hearing only this instead of usual PMV, 25 watts at Plattsmouth NE. Canadians in? One other JBA now, of course:
346 MCW kHz, April 1 at 0649, YXL, 1000 watts at Sioux Lookout ON. BTW, these two are 438 km = 272 stmi apart in almost the same direxion from here, YTL being the further one closer to Hudson Bay, on the shore of the lake called Big Trout Lake, which is 2034 km = 1264 stmi from here (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO. 1549.82 or .83, April 1 at 0700, still hearing that het against 1550 stations, presumed XEREL Morelia (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO. Fixing typo in first frequency entry, not 29182+ of course: 28182+ CW, March 31 at 2207, beacon, dash and VVV XE1RCS/B. This one also missing from WGB list! But QRZ.com: ``XE1RCS Mexico flag Mexico, Radio Club Satélite A.C., Apartado Postal 341-A, Ciudad Satélite, Naucalpan, Edo Mex 53100, Mexico`` and: ``XE1RCS beacons on 28.182 and 50.019 Mhz. now transmiting from new site, Cerro Gordo about 70 kms. northeast from Mexico City. This new site, Cerro Gordo is about 3100 mts. above sea level, near Teotihuacan piramids. The site is owned by Radio Club Satelite. XE1RCS/B on 28.182 Mhz. has an AR-10 antenna with 8 watts, and on 50.019 has an AR-6 with 50 watts. All the antennas are mounted in a 40 mts. tower with surge protection and battery backup`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9875.005+, April 1 at 2044, VOT on registered A25 frequency instead of 9870 yesterday which evaded Korea North on 9875 - don`t detect it today, but its s/off anyway is 2050. 2048 `First Quarter of the Millennium` to 2057 then music. Sufficient into UTwente. 11785.002, next VOT English of 2200 is not off the air, not checked until 2234 April 1, S9+5/10 into Maryland SDR, with feature voiced by Efsun the axentuated. Considerably weaker than 11780 Brasil, S9+10/25 providing ACI, not even evitable by USB tuning. 2354 s/off as if it were 1230 on 17620, the usual always awry at Ankara (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. Some not-always-audible NDBs, besides the two from CANADA, q.v.: 392 MCW kHz, April 1 at 0652, FMZ, 25 watts at `Beklof` Fairmont NE; and: 400 MCW kHz, April 1 at 0653 UT, AHQ, 0 watts = unknown default, at Wahoo NE (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2288 monitoring: confirmed UT Tuesday April 1 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, S6/S8 into Maryland SDR. Also confirmed Tuesday April 1 at 1311 the 1300 on WRMI 9955, S8/S9 direct and undermodulated. Also confirmed Tuesday April 1 at 1411 & 1423 the 1400 on WRMI 9955, S6/S9 JBA direct. Also confirmed Tuesday April 1 at 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1322.996+, S9 into UTwente but with considerable ACI from 1314 or 1332, not investigated. Next: 2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW; 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975. 7780, April 1 at 0640, and 5010, April 1 at 0644, these WRMIs are off again, while 5950 is ON with TOMBS // 5850. Something`s odd at Okeechobee. 15770, April 1 at 0641, this WRMI is not only on, but surprisingly strong in the nightmiddle, S9+10 in Spanish about Checa, so R. Praga Internacional relay? No, Eslovaquia is sked every night at 0630-0700 on System H, with Prague in English at 0600-0630 Mon & Tue only (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1530 kHz, April 1 at 0618 UT, Spanish CCI to WCKY, ID as on ``104.9 y 95.1, La Que Manda``, so it`s KZNX Creedmoor TX; U7 10000/220. I previously discussed its complex two-transmitter-sites near Austin. NRC AM Log gives only slogan as ``La Raza``. Of course we cannot be certain one slogan have totally replaced the other. WTFDA FMDB gets no hits when searching only on KZNX in the Relay of: field. One must enter instead KZNX 1530, getting only KTXX-FM on 104.9 in Bee Cave. To get K236AY on 95.1 in Westlake Hills one must search Relay of: on KZNX-1530 with the hyphen! Needs to be a bit more forgiving of such details or more consistent. In WTFDA it`s also only ``La Raza``. On 1530 I was really checking for the unID bluegrass/country music I had been hearing QRMing WCKY, but not tonight (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1650 kHz, April 1 at 0701 UT, still hearing continuous tone of about 311 Hz, presumably from KSVE El Paso TX (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1670 kHz, April 1 at 0655 UT, ``Black Information Network``, i.e. WMGE Dry Branch GA, address in Macon. No problem overcoming Virtual DJ Radio LP relay in Enid which is JBA in daytime a couple miles away (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report despatched at 2300 UT April 1 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
