What wuld I like to see in the IRCA club history? Why was the IRCA founded? Year founded and Charter Members 1st Constitution & By-Laws Changes in by-laws as they took place President's history Publisher's history Columns History Column's editor's history Membership history and date they joined IRCA Convention History TVA History + winners + scan of the award RHA History + winners + scan of the award 'Silent' members list - members who passed away Pictures of as many members as can be found Pictures of as many conventions as can be found DXpeditions? Did IRCA have any over the years? OMG! This is some project for poor DOUG! He 'may' need help? All kidding aside, I think we'd be at the forefront in this project as I doubt any of the other clubs, ex. NASWA and NRC have tackled it. It would be a huge project with input needed from as many members as possible. No time limit because who knows how long a good job would take. The "Historian" would be sent the data and he or she would collate it etc. It would be like putting together a small book. A member who has publishing skills would be ideal to put the package together. If such a member exists. And BEFORE Mr. Pifer nominates me, I am ECC, have 2 columns for IRCA and am the NASWA Electronic Flashsheet editor. Hi j/k - if I can help with the project in some small way I'd be happy to. But I'd LOVE to see someone not now actively 'employed' by IRCA step up and volunteer for the position.73 de DX,

Perhaps a position for an historian is needed? or at least recognized. I'll bet a few people have saved nearly all the bulletins. Throw in some memories like what's happening here, a few dates and times and there it is.
Doug,
Actually, the IRCA BOD talked about that when I was a BOD member back in 2000-2001, and I got some info for the website, and John Johnson agreed to do the "25 years ago" bit in his column, but there was never a formal proposal for something like that - it was just kind of a "as needed" arrangement. Maybe this is the same sort of thing? I don't know, but it'd be nice to have that history on-line, at least I think so! (And while we're talking history, I want to update the IRCA site with TVA/RHA winners and convention spots - I've got up to 2002 on-line. Can someone fill in the rest quick? I'd rather not rely on JUST *my* memory!)
At any rate, what sort of items would you like to see in such a history?
Lynn.
