Re: [IRCA] Neighbors Grouse About KMBZ Tower Site

After reading the entire article I made the following comments that went right to Facebook. I now probably be vilified on there.
"Let's see. I'll bet there were no houses when the station and its towers
were built. They are probably the result of creeping suburbia. So the
station was there first, the houses were built knowing it was there, and now
the people that live in houses have trouble with the station being there.
Seen this with all kinds of things in all kinds of places. It is usually
airports though.
Now the fence is ugly and we don't like it. Lets make them take it down If
the fence comes down some other kid or adult will attempt to climb the
towers and fall and kill themselves and then it will be the companies fault.
Same thing with the guy wires. Some idiot will ride a bike or dirt bike of 4
wheeler through there, get decapitated and all the lawyers will descend with
glee because obviously it is the property owners fault.
The thing to do is maintain the property and the fence.. It is a safety
issue not an aesthetic on. The property should have security lighting in
place especially at the tower bases and all guy wires should also be
illuminated. All buildings should be maintained with lights inside and out
that come on at dusk and go off at dawn. There should also be an ISP based
video security system with both inside and outside video cameras and a high
capacity DVR to monitor the property. A logical solution in an illogical
world."
