[HCDX] the use of the Tropical bands

Hello to every one !

Why in some countries, especially in tropical and equatorial countries, some shortwave
bands of 120, 90, 75 and 60 meters called "tropical bands" are used istead of
mediumwave ? Why medium-wave is out-of-fashion in countries like Peru and tropical
transmitters are more commun, than MW ones.
