AW: [HCDX] the use of the Tropical bands

Because of the many and strong thunderstormes and their electrostatic
discharges, medium wave frequencies cannot be used in tropical countries.
Providing mw-like distribution qualities, the tropical bands are used
instead. It could be that the 120 and 90m-bands are exclusively used in
those countries (right?).

Hello to every one !

Why in some countries, especially in tropical and equatorial countries, some
shortwave
bands of 120, 90, 75 and 60 meters called "tropical bands" are used istead
of
mediumwave ? Why medium-wave is out-of-fashion in countries like Peru and
tropical
transmitters are more commun, than MW ones.
