I did the same with the Kaito KA 1003 being also about 200 metres from the mast where six of our local MW stations reside.

I have an Eton E1 which works pretty well. I only succeeded to
overload it once, when I was operating it 200 meters near the 400 kW
Radio Iasi transmitter here in Romania.
