Re: [IRCA] thoughts on qsl's

While some people go out of their way to do something nice for people, others take delight in frustrating people.  What can I say...

Mike,

My father was the same way "Very pro Union" and as a boy told me the
same thing. CEs can do such things. One at WQEW used to phone the DXer
if he had their number to tell them he would reply, but never did. Or he
never got their reports if the DXer called. He would talk to them for at
least a 1/2 hour on company time and yet never would a QSL be
forthcoming. I had that, Ernie Cooper told me of a DJ that answered the
reports and that is how I got my QSL. In the old WQXR days the CE would
answer the QSL reports without any trouble. I got one then. But by the
time they changed to WQEW, the current CE at the time would drag people
along for some reason. I never knew why. I still don't to this day.
