[Swlfest] Great Fest

Hello,

I've finally recovered from my umpteenth fest
and thought I'd drop a line a let you all know
I enjoyed myself tremendously.

The "Knights of the Roundtable" met a night
earlier than usual (Thursday) in the Hospitality
Suite. Due to this unexpected night of drink and
conversation, I was a complete zombie by Friday
evening and Saturday is just a blurr ... thanks
Sir Ulis!

I took the Technician Test on Friday Evening and
much too my surprise I passed. I now have the call
of "KB1KYW" .... cool call huh? It's cool that
I passed the test in the suburbs of Phillie and was
rewarded with the call letters of the 50,000 Watt
Phillie AM Station "KYW".

I'm sorry I missed the reunion of the original members
of the ITDXA, Myke Weisekopf and David Goren for Friday
nights Listeners Lounge. Those VE's from the ARRL demanded
I buy drinks in celebration of passing the test ... so I
headed off to the bar and before I knew it, everybody in the bar was
a Volunteer Examiner and we closed the bar and emptied my wallet :)

Joe Buch's presentation on BPL was the most educational forum over the 
weekend
and I have decided to fight this fight. I thank Joe for all his hard work.

I did my best to chat with all of the attendees and I'm not sure if I 
managed
to accomplish that task. If not ... there's always nect year.
