[Swprograms] VOR: What's New

KALEIDOSCOPE

In the next edition of KALEIDOSCOPE you'll hear a report about a project
for Distance Education that will go into effect in the Siberian city of
Krasnoyarsk at the beginning of the next academic year. There'll also be
reports about the global warming problem and about an unusual experiment
conducted by the Kemerovo Regional Drama Theater. They will be followed
by a story about the Kungur ice cave in the Urals ? a unique natural
phenomenon. Professor of Sociology, Vsevolod Marinov, a regular
contributor to Kaleidoscope, will give a piece of advice for those who
would like to make a trip to Russia in the near future. As always,
there'll be a music page. All that and more ? in the next Kaleidoscope
program on Monday, June 14, at 0630 and 1730 UTC. Stay tuned!

October 29, 2004, will mark 75 years since the first regular broadcast
from Moscow directed to audiences abroad went on the air. To mark the
anniversary we're conducting a listeners' poll and invite you to answer
the following questions:
1. When did you first listen to the Voice of Russia/Radio Moscow?
2. When did you write to us for the first time and why?
3. What do you think is positive and negative in our programming?
4. What features do you like most of all?
Thank you for your cooperation.
