In the next edition of "Moscow Calling" check out some stuff from "Gorky
Park", the band that for many years was a front-runner in Russian hard &
heavy music. Andrei Zhamkin is offering you the best of "Gorky Park"
including fast and rhythmical melodies and slow enchanting ballads. 
Tune in to learn more about Russian Rock on Monday at 03.30, Friday at
01.30, 06.30 and 19.30 and Saturday at 16.30 all times UTC.
 
AUDIO BOOK CLUB
(on the air from Monday, June 28)
 
 
In the upcoming edition of AUDIO BOOK CLUB you'll hear a radio
adaptation of one of the early works by the Nobel Prize winner, one of
the greatest writers of the 20th century, Mikhail Sholokhov. A son of a
Don Cossack, in his short stories he wrote about the civil war in Russia
that followed the 1917 Socialist Revolution. His "Don Stories" were
written in 1924-1926. 
Our AUDIO BOOK CLUB series is on the air at 0430 UTC on Mondays and
Fridays, at 0830 and 1530 UTC on Wednesdays, at 0630 and 1930 UTC on
Thursdays, at 0230 UTC on Saturdays, and at 0530 UTC on Sundays.

October 29, 2004, will mark 75 years since the first regular broadcast
from Moscow directed to audiences abroad went on the air. To mark the
anniversary we're conducting a listeners' poll and invite you to answer
the following questions:
